Frontier & Factory

Build factories with Create and tackle enhanced structures; fair, gated progression and smooth server performance on Forge

Concept
Frontier & Factory is an adventure–tech experience that blends Create automation with settlement management (MineColonies) and RPG combat against powerful bosses. The world is reshaped with new structures, dungeons, and biomes to reward exploration. A lightweight FTB Quests book ties the systems together so players always know what to do next.

Core Features & How They Change Your Experience
1) World & Exploration
What it offers: varied biomes, deeper cave and ocean content, temples, fortresses, dungeons, and large handmade structures with progressive loot.
Impact: every trip brings new challenges (traps, hidden rooms, minibosses) and rewards that push your progress without skipping tiers.

2) Colonies & Management
What it offers: build a colony with workers, professions, production chains, defenses, and town planning. Automate supplies and expand your population.
Impact: long-term progression with clear goals; turning a campsite into a self-sufficient city becomes a “campaign” on its own.

3) Automation & Technology
What it offers: from kinetic factories (shafts, belts, furnaces, trains, assembly lines) to advanced energy, ore processing, cables, pipes, and late-game machines.
Impact: turn raw resources into complex products, speed everything up with real automation, and unlock high-tier tools and blocks.

4) Bosses & Combat
What it offers: challenging encounters, improved raids, and bosses with unique mechanics.
Impact: gear progression with purpose—prepare, craft consumables, and coordinate as a team to beat demanding fights.

5) Modular Gear & Tools
What it offers: modular weapons/armor with materials, traits, upgrades, tool leveling, enchantments, and trinkets.
Impact: tailor your playstyle (mass mining, melee burst, team support, etc.) without being locked to a single “meta”.

6) Farming, Cooking & Fishing
What it offers: new crops, cooking recipes and utensils, expanded husbandry and fishing.
Impact: food matters—useful buffs for mining, combat, and long expeditions.

7) Building & Decoration
What it offers: thousands of aesthetic blocks, door/window/roof variants, bridges, furniture, frames/moldings, paintings, and more.
Impact: build anything—from medieval towns to modern factories—with consistent visual detail.

8) Storage & Logistics
What it offers: drawer systems, upgraded chests, digital storage with terminals and autocrafting, backpacks with filters and labeling.
Impact: manage tens of thousands of items without chaos; planning big projects becomes fast and satisfying.

9) Quality of Life
What it offers: teleportation between discovered points, vein mining, exploration compasses, item magnet, visual workbenches, inventory upgrades, and graves on death.
Impact: less repetitive chores, more time doing what you enjoy.

10) Multiplayer & Community
What it offers: teams and land claims, chunk map/claims, trading, and optional proximity voice chat.
Impact: ideal for servers—protect builds, collaborate on megafactories, organize raids and PvE events.

11) Performance & Stability
What it offers: memory/network optimizations, smoother chunk loading, and better cross-mod compatibility.
Impact: a more stable experience in large worlds and busy servers.

Suggested Progression
Start: explore, set a base near resources, and cook food that grants useful buffs.

Colony: place the town hall, assign workers, and automate basic supplies.

Industry: set up kinetic lines, process ores, and build infrastructure (trains, pipes, networks).

Endgame: move into advanced energy, digital storage, elite modular gear; tackle bosses and megadungeons.

Technical Recommendations
Client: 6–8 GB RAM allocated.

Server: 8–10 GB RAM; strong single-core CPU performance.

Prefer pre-generating spawn chunks if it’s a public server. Disable heavy shaders if you prioritize FPS.

Voice chat: ensure the configured UDP port is free on the host, or disable the feature if unused.

Notes
Major updates that change world generation may require a new world.

If players see “mismatched mod channel list,” they must use exactly the same mod versions as the server.
