Use the Create mod to add motion to your settlement, maybe a windmill, a water wheel or even a train station. Set up track routes between neighboring villages and settlements. Then Build your own locomotive to travel the rails across the server.
Start a farm around your settlement utilizing Farmer's Delight, Croptopia, Growthcraft or just Vanilla crops. Then maybe a tavern or pub to serve up the delicious meals that these mods offer. With the abundance afforded in the world you will never have to fear starvation again.
