Worldgen is completely changed in ESE. Along with backporting the brand new 1.19 Wild update features and 1.18 cave gen, there are also new mountains, improved terrain in the overworld and Nether, new biomes in both the Nether and the overworld (that don't change anything too much) and even cave biomes!
ESE includes mods like Quark and Charm which improve overall parity, add features that should've been added long ago and improve the general game as a whole. It also adds more mobs which fit right into vanilla, new blocks, structures, advancements and more.
