Embers of the Shattered Moon: 100 Days of Revival
English Name: Embers of the Shattered Moon: 100 Days of Revival Version: Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
Embers of the Shattered Moon: 100 Days of Revival is a high-difficulty survival modpack centered on zombie catastrophe, industrial rebuilding, and long-term base defense. Day 100 is not the end of the game — it is the first major milestone before the infection spirals fully out of control. Beyond Day 100, zombies will continue to grow stronger, only at a gradually slowing pace.
Dynamic Zombie Ecosystem
The hostile ecosystem is dominated by zombies, while bosses remain unaffected. Zombies now spawn during the day and are no longer weakened by sunlight; daytime hordes are relatively small, but massive swarms form at night.
Zombies evolve as world days progress:
- Days 1–2: Preparation phase — zombies can only perform basic pursuit.
- From Day 3 onward: Breakers and Builders begin to appear, capable of dismantling obstacles and constructing pathways to reach players.
- After Day 25: Siege zombies carrying TNT may spawn.
- Zombies possess a minimum aggro range of 64 blocks and will relentlessly pursue players through water, caves, and vertical mine shafts.
- Zombie count, health, defense, speed, and special abilities scale with world day, moon phase, player count, and regional threat level.
- After Day 100: Difficulty continues to rise but transitions into a more gradual long-term survival curve.
Random Special Moon Phases
Every fifth day, the world randomly draws a special moon phase from a pool rather than cycling through a fixed sequence. Moon phase effects last the entire night and end at dawn the following morning.
Blood Moon empowers zombies and increases horde size; Green Moon accelerates plant growth; Blue Moon brings rare resources and exploration opportunities; Dark Moon reduces environmental safety. Other phases may alter infection rates, loot tables, production efficiency, and survival conditions.
Realistic Survival Systems
Players must simultaneously manage hydration, body temperature, food spoilage, and environmental hazards. Food decays over time, with spoilage rates varying by container type and processing equipment. When stacking the same type of food at different spoilage levels, the values are averaged. Certain key breeding items such as regular eggs do not spoil.
Refrigerators, freezers, and cold-chain facilities extend food preservation; water purification systems establish a reliable drinking water supply; field hospitals assist in treating injuries. Survival is no longer just about filling the hunger bar — it is about building a long-term, dependable resource support system.
Realistic Mining & Resource Processing
Ores do not easily convert directly into ingots. Standard mining primarily yields mineral fragments, with quantities affected by the Fortune enchantment. These fragments must then go through crushing, sifting, washing, and smelting processes.
A special "Efficient Mining" enchantment improves ore extraction quality and provides a chance to obtain raw ore directly. Create handles transportation, crushing, mixing, and automated assembly, while Immersive Engineering manages heavy processing, energy, and industrial production — the two systems form a clear upstream-downstream pipeline.
Firearms & Equipment Crafting
TaCZ firearms cannot be obtained through simple crafting table recipes. Players must first process metals, gun barrels, receivers, springs, and precision components, then complete firearm assembly through Immersive Engineering processing and Create mechanical assembly.
Melee weapons, firearms, armor, ammunition, and defensive structures each have their own material niches. Early game relies on spears, shields, and traps; mid-game develops automated ammunition production and industrial weaponry; late game establishes fully fortified zones capable of withstanding massive zombie hordes.
Eleven Multiblock Facilities
The modpack introduces eleven functional facilities that players must construct with correct block structures:
- Settlement Water Purification Tower
- Field Hospital
- Cold-Chain Central Kitchen
- Deep Mine Ventilation & Rescue Station
- Ore Vein Analysis Tower
- Distributed Defense Command Network
- Negative-Pressure Infection Research Station
- Contaminated Biomass Pyrolysis Plant
- Regional Revival Beacon
- Hybrid Power Black-Start Facility
- Railway Rescue & Quarantine Hub
These structures are not decorative. They perform real-time checks on block structure, input/output, fluids, energy, mechanical speed, air pressure, and maintenance status — and may suffer shutdowns or malfunctions. Players must build logistics networks to keep all facilities running together and sustain the settlement.
World Progression & Exploration
Nether portals require Day 15 to stabilize before they can be opened. The End demands that players obtain Netherite and complete the corresponding research before crafting Eyes of Ender and activating the End Portal.
Small Ships sailing mechanics are intertwined with coastal events. Players can embark on naval exploration, salvage operations, and cargo transport — but may also face coastal raids at night that scale with the current threat level.
Complete Quest Guidance
The modpack currently features 30 quest chapters and 1,029 quests, including 637 tutorial quests. Quests begin from Day 1 survival and progressively guide players through hydration management, food preservation, mining, Create, Immersive Engineering, firearm crafting, base defense, and multiblock facility construction.
The Patchouli survival manual, JEI recipe viewer, and Ponder animated tutorials together provide comprehensive operational guidance — ensuring players truly understand the purpose of each system rather than facing a pile of disconnected mods.
Your goal is not merely to survive 100 days. It is to start from a makeshift shelter and progressively build water purification, medical, industrial, transportation, and defense systems — reclaiming living space in an infected world.
