Development Notice
Escape the End is still in active development, but the modpack is already fully playable from start to finish. Many bugs have already been fixed, though you may still encounter some issues. If you do, please let us know so we can continue improving the pack.
Multiplayer is supported, but it has received less testing and polish than the single-player experience. You may encounter additional issues when playing with others.
For the intended visual experience, we recommend using BSL Shaders. They have been specifically adapted for Escape the End, and we cannot guarantee that other shader packs will work correctly in certain scenarios.
The quest menu can be opened with G. We highly recommend checking it, as it explains the intended progression and key mechanics of the modpack. P.S. Quests for Acts II and III are still in development :D
What if Minecraft started where it normally ends?
Escape the End is an exploration and progression-focused adventure modpack where you spawn directly on the distant outer islands of The End.
There is no normal Overworld start. No trees waiting beside your spawn. No standard early-game progression.
You must learn to survive in a dimension that was never meant to be your home.
A Completely Reworked End
The End has been transformed into a full survival environment packed with new biomes, resources, structures, enemies, equipment and secrets to discover.
Explore enormous islands, abandoned structures, dungeons and strange landscapes while searching for the resources needed to progress.
Boss-Driven Progression
Bosses are an important part of the journey rather than optional encounters.
Explore, improve your equipment and defeat increasingly dangerous enemies to unlock new parts of the modpack's progression.
Custom mechanics, recipes and progression restrictions connect content from different mods into a single adventure.
Exploration Everywhere
Escape the End heavily expands structure generation and rewards travelling far from your starting point.
Expect dungeons, ruins, settlements, ships and other structures scattered throughout the dimension — many containing valuable equipment and progression resources.
Custom Content
The pack includes several mods and systems created specifically for Escape the End, including:
- Custom End spawning and safe spawn generation
- Custom progression and portal mechanics
- Modified recipes and equipment progression
- Compatibility patches between mods
- Custom bosses and encounters
- Custom UI, textures and visual changes
- Quest-based progression guidance
The goal is to make the pack feel like one cohesive game, rather than a collection of unrelated mods.

Escape The End
