You start by choosing a class:
Arcane Crystal for the Mage class
Brass Cog for the Technician
Explorer’s Compass for the Explorer
Classes impact the game in a meaningful way. If you have a particular class, you gain access to special recipes for certain items that are cheaper than if you don’t have a class, helping support the server economy.
There are also coins from Numinautics that are used for trading between players. They can be obtained either by fishing with a Starcatcher or by pressing them in a Mechanical Press.
