In an alternate timeline, the world once thrived under the guidance of the Avatar and bending, until an Avatar named Ten sealed off all connections between the spiritual and physical realms. This led to the disappearance of bending for centuries, until its recent return. The absence of bending altered the course of history, resulting in the Fire Nation's nonexistence and the rise of factions like the Fire Legion, Tide Keepers, Zephyr Union, Terra Tribe, Silent Shadows, and others. Amidst this upheaval, technological advancements and a neutral zone emerged, setting the stage for a new era of exploration and adventure in the Elemental Odyssey universe.
