You will start in a dungeon. You don't know why your there, you can find out later if you care about the story-line. It might give you some advantages to know ;). You need to escape the dungeon, and make your way to safety. Your supposed to be confused and without a clear target, that's part of the RPG. You have no idea how you got there, and don't know what your looking for. If you do manage to find safety your situation is going to be very much like the book/movie "City of Ember". If the temperature regulator runs out of power, you'll likely freeze to death. Since it is open world, its more than possible to find alternatives to the main route if your original enough. If your clever enough, fast enough, and earn it then maybe you will gain the upper hand over mother nature. After that there are blueprints scattered around in custom dungeons around the world that have some of the old civilizations greatest feats, and will allow you to climb back onto the pedastool of the dominant life form of the world. Through ingenuity and perseverance, you can triumph over the harsh reality you were thrust into and build it into something much greater.
