EXTREME PERFORMANCE

One of Elarion Balanced’s standout features is its integration of Nvidium, a rendering mod that uses mesh shaders to create a fully GPU-driven rendering pipeline. By shifting much of the rendering workload from the CPU to the GPU, Nvidium can significantly boost frame rates, improve smoothness, speed up chunk rendering, and make high render distances feel much more responsive compared to vanilla Minecraft and many modded setups.

This makes exploring large worlds and heavily modded environments feel far more seamless and stable.
Still needs a decent GPU!

This feature currently only works on NVIDIA GPUs that support mesh shaders. The modpack will still work on non-NVIDIA GPUs, but Nvidium will have no effect. Nvidium also does not work with shaders. You can disable Nvidium in Video Settings if you want to play with shaders.

Elarion Balanced also includes C2MEF, a performance-focused mod designed to improve Minecraft’s chunk generation, chunk loading, and world I/O performance. It works by making better use of multiple CPU cores, allowing more chunk-related tasks to run in parallel instead of being limited mainly by the game’s main CPU thread. By reducing this bottleneck, C2MEF helps the game generate new chunks faster and more efficiently, handle chunk loading more smoothly, reduce exploration-related stutters, and make world loading feel better overall.

Alongside Nvidium and C2MEF, the pack includes several other performance and optimization mods to help keep gameplay as smooth as possible.

Elarion Balanced – A Refined Modded Adventure

Elarion Balanced is a refined and experimental version of Elarion, focused on exploration, discovery, adventure, and better overall balance.

Instead of simply adding more content, Elarion Balanced aims to create a more controlled and meaningful experience. Progression, loot, structures, mobs, exploration, and performance are being adjusted to make the world feel more rewarding, dangerous, and connected.

This version is also a place to try new ideas that are different from the original Elarion.

The quests are not meant to strictly drive the gameplay.

Instead, they act as a guide, showing the wide range of mods included in the pack and helping players discover new content at their own pace.

You can explore, build, and battle, all in one seamless experience.

Consider Checking Keybinds

Since there are many mods, I have set up the keybinds so they do not overlap as much as possible.

You can still change them to your liking.

NOTE

Elarion Balanced is still a large modpack, and it is highly recommended to allocate at least 12 GB of RAM for a better gameplay experience.

Elarion Balanced is currently in early development, so you may encounter some issues.

ADVANCED HOSTILITY

Elarion Balanced includes Advanced Hostility, a mod that allows mobs from different mods to interact with each other through configurable behaviors.

Mobs can be set to proactively attack certain creatures, ignore others, or behave differently depending on the rules created for them.

These interactions have been custom-configured to create more natural predator–prey and rivalry behaviors between animals across different mods.

With these rules applied, the world becomes more active and interconnected, instead of every mob acting like it exists alone.
