Okay so basically I went a little overboard with this one. Started with YUNG's dungeon overhauls and When Dungeons Arise for massive structures everywhere, then threw in Terralith and Tectonic because vanilla worldgen wasn't cutting it. The world actually looks insane now.
Boss-wise you've got Cataclysm, Bosses of Mass Destruction, Mowzie's Mobs, Born in Chaos, and a bunch more. There's like 10+ different boss mods in here and they do NOT mess around. Majrusz's Progressive Difficulty makes the world harder the longer you play, so good luck with that.
For magic there's Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks which is genuinely fun once you get into it, plus a bunch of addons that expand the spell library even further because apparently I thought base game wasn't enough. Combine that with Apotheosis and you can get SO stupidly overpowered it's not even funny. Like, "I accidentally made a sword that deals 10,000 damage" levels of broken. The bosses needed the handicap anyway. Relics, Artifacts, and Enigmatic Legacy add even more absurd gear that completely changes how you play.
Added Create with a bunch of addons because building automated systems in a hardcore pack just hits different. Alex's Mobs and Caves for wildlife that's actually interesting. Quark and Supplementaries for all the little quality of life stuff that makes the game feel complete.
The vibe is basically horror-ish RPG - lots of ambient sounds, realistic audio with Sound Physics, Presence Footsteps so you can actually hear yourself move. EnhancedVisuals makes combat feel brutal. Serene Seasons and weather mods make the atmosphere properly oppressive when it wants to be.
Fair warning: you're probably gonna die a lot. But when you finally take down one of those massive bosses or clear a giant dungeon with your completely unbalanced endgame build? Absolutely worth it.
