Echoes of the Abyss (Atmospheric Horror)
An atmospheric modpack aimed for a more lonely and unsettling experience
A lot of the horror and scary modpacks I have tried in the past have just felt overwhelming and don't give the player enough space to go about their normal business playing the game without being killed in stupid ways by monsters that don't really seem to fit in Minecraft. Nothing against these packs, they can be fun but I personally like to keep it simple. So I went the route of keeping it more vanilla friendly with some enhancments to make it a little less empty.
The essentials mod is added as a way to play with friends for free without a local LAN
Playing with friends is recommended
