# Early Adventures

**A brand new modpack, still growing. Your feedback matters a lot.**

Early Adventures is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge modpack with 110 mods, built around exploration and boss fights. Everything starts small and grows bigger the farther you travel: camps and wells near spawn, towers and villages in the middle distance, castles and boss arenas far from home.

Machines are part of the pack, but they are here to help you, not to do the adventuring for you.

## Features

**Structures everywhere**
A large collection of structure mods fills the world with things to find, from tiny ruins to huge dungeons. A compass helps you locate them.

**Five gate bosses**
The story is guided by five major fights: Naga, Lich, Ignis, the Fire Dragon and Obsidilith. Beating each one opens the next chapter. Many more bosses wait along the way.

**Create-based tech**
Create and its addons give you automation and storage without taking over the game. Applied Energistics 2 is a late-game reward.

**Gear that is earned**
New swords, stronger armor and rare artifacts are meant to be found or taken from bosses, not crafted in minutes.

**Safe deaths**
Your body stays where you died and keeps your items safe. Nothing scatters on the ground. Your death point is marked on the map.

**Quest book**
About 200 quests in 17 chapters, from your first steps to the final boss. Chapters cover the story and also Create, Create Crafts & Additions, Sophisticated Storage, Sophisticated Backpacks, Applied Energistics 2, The Twilight Forest, Cataclysm, Ice and Fire, Bosses of Mass Destruction, Artifacts, Farmer's Delight and Waystones. Rewards match the difficulty of each task.

**Shader support**
Oculus is included, so you only need to add a shader pack of your choice. Shaders are optional.

**Tuned for performance**
Performance mods keep the pack smooth on 6-8 GB of RAM.

## Requirements

- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge
- Java 17
- 6-8 GB of RAM allocated to the game (16 GB total recommended)

## Installation

1. Install the CurseForge app.
2. Search for Early Adventures and install the pack.
3. Allocate 6-8 GB of RAM in the profile settings.
4. Launch the game. The first start and the first world creation take longer than usual because of the structure mods.
5. Optional: pre-generate your world with /chunky to avoid lag while exploring.
6. Optional: download a shader pack, put it in the shaderpacks folder, then pick it in Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.

This pack is new and I am still improving it. Every comment helps, whether it is a bug, a missing item in the quest book, a boss that is too easy or too hard, or an idea for a new mod. Please tell me what you think in the comments. I read all of them and I will fix problems and update the pack based on your feedback.

## Notes

- Made for single-player.
- Shaders can lower your FPS on weaker graphics cards. Turn them off if the game feels slow.
- If something crashes, please include your crash report or log in your comment.
