HORROR - Dreadmoor

DREADMOOR is a massive survival-horror Minecraft modpack focused on atmosphere, exploration, progression, and fear.

DREADMOOR is a massive Minecraft survival-horror modpack built around atmosphere, exploration, progression, and fear. In Dreadmoor, traditional sandbox progression, resource hoarding, and mega-base construction are entirely absent from this experience. Instead, the gameplay shifts toward an intense loop of constant movement, evasion, and basic survival against overwhelming odds. Players find themselves trapped in a hostile environment where combat is a desperate last resort and flight is almost always the only viable strategy.

The world is populated by a variety of legendary anomalies and modern myths that actively hunt the player. Herobrine haunts the world from afar, systematically manipulating the environment and degrading the player's sanity. The Man from the Fog serves as a persistent, stalking presence that closes the distance when least expected. Slenderman introduces heavy visual and mental distortion upon direct eye contact, while the Rake utilizes extreme speed to strike from the pitch darkness. Dozens of additional atmospheric horrors inhabit the deep woods, ensuring that absolute isolation is impossible.

Resource scarcity and heavy atmospheric effects reinforce the modpack's focus on vulnerability over power progression. Built-in RPG mechanics actively track physical and mental states, forcing players to prioritize stealth, environmental awareness, and map navigation over standard mining and crafting

Designed for both singleplayer and multiplayer, DREADMOOR focuses on long-term progression instead of cheap jumpscares. Inspired by games like The Forest, Dark Souls, Silent Hill, Fear & Hunger, and Lethal Company, the modpack creates a tense and unforgettable survival experience where isolation, sound design, exploration, and uncertainty become the true source of horror.
