This Modpack is a very large modpack for 1.16.5 that focuses around travelling to, exploring, and progressing through over a hundred detailed dimensions. Don't be fooled, the large amount of dimensions doesn't mean that each dimension is lackluster. All dimensions range from having a small amount yet unique quality content to being fully fleshed dimensions with many biomes and tons of things to play around with. Performance is not the best with this Modpack as many of the mods are large, I do not recommend you play this unless you have a really good computer. I would recommend allocating 13+ Gigabytes of RAM. Despite that the pack is fun and introduces many interesting mods and mechanics mostly unheard of in the modding community. With 280 JEI pages, 4 advancement pages and 25 creative inventory pages, there is nothing short of a whole ton of content to play around with for quite literally, years
Lore:
(This is entirely fictional and for storytelling purposes)
Originally there was a creator of sorts, an entity, a being seated before a metallic box of information, inside of which was an emptiness, and that being was one.
Then in that emptiness the being created two gradient forces, light and dark.
Afterwards the being created the three essences of being: Material Being, Concious Being, and Transcendent Being, the prerequisites of existence.
After that, the being created the four directional spaces: Planar space, Event space, Scalar space, and Dimensional space.
Thereafter, the being created the five colors of prominence: Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, and Red. Blue was created with patience, Green was created with intricacy, Yellow was created with harmony, Purple was created with stability, and Red was created with haste.
Thereafter the being created the six letters of power: Alīv (A) , Lamad (L), Mŷum (M), Nuīn (N), Raosh (R), and Yed (Y or I). Each letter representing differences of tones, structures, and exigencies of communication.
After that, the being created the seven days of the week: Mineday, Smeltday, Craftday, Buildday, Exploreday, Farmday, and Createday.
Afterwards the being created the eight directional lines and assigned them to each directional space. Three for planar space: Ani, Edi, and Uxi, the dimensions of space. Two for event space: Wu and Xu, the dimensions of time. Two for dimensional space: Ka and Ra, the dimensions of the 5d dimensional reality. One for scalar space: Po, the dimension of consciousness. And within each directional line were two directions in opposition.
Then, the being created the nine, highly articulate, cogniscent beings. Luxon of light, Selyan of life, Galvana of the earth, Mugbo'o of water, Tăotugi of space, 'i' of time, Wythrír of the wither, Unahzaal of death, and Vh'alpor of the void.
Finally, with an extravagant explosion, the being created the grid, an interwoven fabric of manifold dimensions that stretch to infinity and spread the colors of prominence throughout the grid, allowing them to mingle and mix. Isolated, on a separate plane, lived Miñar, a realm for the nine to abide where the being may teach them and they may prosper.
And for Light-Eons they learned and they were taught through observation of the grid: Speeding light, passing time, manipulated space, rigid earth, budding life, steady withering, sudden death, and the ever-present nothingness between.
As life was in its early stages throughout the grid, suddenly, the being vanished, or so it appeared. The nine assumed that the being was eternal, that the being would reveal themself again, but time passed, life matured, and there was only silence. The nine continued honing their abilities and using them to bring balance to the grid, but one day something went wrong.
Unahzaal was tipping the balance, and began spreading death everywhere, and life was under threat. Selyan led the charge to confront Unahzaal on his actions, but further dialogue proved that Unahzaal had changed. He was convinced that the being was gone, and with no higher authority present, he abandoned the idea of balance. He saw power as fluctuating, and that the one with the most power and influence should rule the world. In the absence of the being, he would make sure that was him. He believed that any could be powerful enough to rule.
And thus there was a schism amongst the nine. Previously all believed that balance was necessary for order and propserity, the Balancists. Now, however a fraction of them started asking the question "Why were some things being limited, and others extended beyond their natural tendencies? Shouldn't that which is superior prevail?" And this is the new school of thought that the Supremists thought. And the supremists were two, Unahzaal and Wythrír. Vh'alpor pondered about this striking question but never joined the supremists officially.
The rest were opposed, and opposition begets war. Unahzaal had gained tremendous power, and began spreading the influence of the undead throughout the grid, disrupting the balance of the elements and tempting towards evil. The Balancists mobilized and the battle known as The Desperation began.
Unahzaal spread his terror across the grid, dimensions after dimensions at a time. The grid fractured as the terror spread; many dimensions were essentially entirely destroyed, including the very first dimension, known as Euca. Some dimensions were salvageable, and some were protected.
The first civilized race to discover his wrath from among them were the Humans from Homen, and unlike any previously encountered lifeform, they rebelled. And they rebelled with great perseverance and verve. Unfortunately, this prompted a visceral reaction, and despite the greatest efforts of the Balancists, the Humans were slowly killed off until they met extinction, Or so it appeared.
With news of the impending doom, the Elves worked with the Balancists and created technology way beyond its years, this brought balance to the playing field as the Desperation continued. Since the Humans and The Villagers belonged to the same realm, The Villagers also suffered from the doings of Unahzaal. The doings of Wythrír slowly degraded their intelligence, and they returned to primitivity when they were previously intelligent.
There are a few things death and withering cannot overcome but only one that can overcome them, the void. For after withering there is death, and after death there stands nothing but the empty and silently powerful void. And Vh'alpor grew in power and prominence
Unahzaal at this point was mad with power, he went completely insane and killed Wythrír. Wythrír's blood seeped into the dimensional fabric and spread a withering essence across the grid. With a lack of withering, death was more difficult, creatures could live infinitely long, healthy lives. The death of Wythrír severely weakened Unahzaal and together the Balancists merged their efforts and trapped him in a labyrinth that bore no exits or entrances.
The Desperation was over, but the grid had suffered. The Humans were nearly extinct, Villagers lost their intelligence, and Dwarves lost their homes. The homes of every creature were altered and reshaped with the exception of Ratlantis and Alfheim. The Grid had suffered so badly that Luxon said it was no longer a grid, but it almost appeared like a computer chip and from then on it was called The Chip.
After the Desperation, the dimensions were made known to one another, but their inhabitants did not yet know how to communicate with these other dimensions, and so they began experimenting, and after a time they made decent progress in their endeavor.
The Balancists now came to face an ultimate truth, that as long as there was more than one of them, there would be disagreement and in the future, a potential for another war. All that is can only have one ruling power, and so they discussed among themselves.
Earth is rigid, the tides undulate, the winds whip and the seasons flip, but earth remains, strong and steady. Galvana was chosen as the member of the nine that would stay behind and oversee the development of The Chip for the foreseeable future. One by one the nine disassembled, and its members became one with their elements. Luxon became one with light 'i' became one with time, Tăotugi became one with space, Selyan became one with life, Mugbo'o became one with water, and then it was only Vh'alpor and Galvana.
Vh'alpor gazed across the grid, and noticed the wreckage that the other thought was unsalvageable; worthless. He collected these dead remains and made them into his own dimension, The Void. He placed The Void accordingly and infused his essence into it, so that he may always remain prominent in one area rather than becoming his essence, evenly spread out across the grid.
Then there was only Galvana left, she overlooked the development of The Chip and its inhabitants, who were looking into the dimensions beyond that they previously had no knowledge of
The civilization began to tap into the elements, studying and utilizing them. Eventually some were born of the elements that had a stronger innate connection with the elements. With ample time, hierarchies were formed.
Unahzaal wasn't dead, he was very much alive and his influence and temptations could still spread. Those born of the elements started seeing themselves as gods, and eventually assumed power of their civilizations. They sought to conquer and strive towards it. Blood was shed, corruption spread, many were dead. Galvana noticed this corruption and she formed a plan. Since she didn't have the ability to kill Unahzaal as a member of the nine, she would inspire another creation to do so.
She inspired first a Dwarf named Gommelrûnd to reconcile the various warring civilizations in the area that used to known as The Hearth. The hearth was an assortment 8 realms: Alfheim, Nifilheim, Muspelheim, Jotunheim, Svartalfheim, Vanaheim, Helheim, Nidavellir and Asgard. And they all orbited the center realm of Middle-Earth. Gommelrûnd reconciled the warring states under the Ark Pantheon, where they all promised not to harm one another but to be peaceful. One of the members of the Ark Pantheon was known as Vivid, and one day an unknown man killed Vivid's daughter, making him go mad; the doings of Unahzaal. The nine realms fell except for Alfheim, and in coordination with the Elves, Gommelrûnd entrapped Vivid into a maze, a fate similarly met by Unahzaal. Except a mask was placed onto him made out of a rare, highly contagious element that changes the composition of anything it touches, turning Vivid into stone. Gommelrûnd passed away shortly thereafter.
In a second attempt, she inspired an Elf, his name was Gulibeg. He discovered a new form of dimensional transportation from an ancient book he had discovered in the Thúlëendil Library written by a witch named Ignatia Wildsmith. From the book he created Floo Powder, a technology that made dimensional discovery much more efficient. He charted many of the dimensions and produced the largest maps of the dimensions ever made at the time. While Gulibeg was in Rayana, Unahzaal tempted another one born of the elements, known as Enicrih, to steal Gulibeg's powers, leaving him helpless to do anything against Unahzaal.
And for Hundreds of years Galvana and Unahzaal fought these "proxy wars" Galvana would inspire another creature and Unahzaal would combat it. One creature sent to a desert land to combat corrupt powers that saw themselves as divine, burned at the stake. One creature sent to fight a living illness, yet succumbed to it after defeating it. On and on
However, one secret Unahzaal was unaware of was that Humanity survived. Galvana took the remaining Humans to Miñar while nobody noticed, and they increased in numbers and were thriving, and Galvana educated them on the history of dimensions lost to time. And so she inspired a Human.
Time and time again, the Humans failed, but their failures weren't as horrible as those previous, and over time, they improved.
The Humans had developed an interesting language system, in which the proper noun of a person could be "conjugated" depending on the scenario, changing the vowels in their last name, and in government, only the consonant roots were documented to prevent confusion
And so, while the human she inspired last was most commonly referred to as Dan Tadem, he was officially known as DanTDM. He was fascinated at the history of the Villagers of Filiard and the dimension known as Dimandia, a lost dimension made entirely out of diamonds, even the lifeforms were crystalline, organs and everything, and there was an intelligent species there known as the Diamantines First he conducted experiments on the Villagers in an attempt to help them regain their intelligence. The first specimen disintegrated, the second specimen died, the third specimen mutated into a new gray creature resembling the villager. He was violent and dangerous but before Dan could kill him, he escaped. And as for the fourth specimen, it was a success! He had created the first intelligent villager in a long time, and that villager's name was Trayaurus, Dr. Trayaurus.
Together, Dan and the doctor built a lab and Dan also adopted a dog, he loves dogs. But more importantly, Dan was focused on defeating Unahzaal once and for all. Him and Trayaurus used the floo powder to send signals into the void between dimensions, finding lost information that further aided them. As they studied up they began constructing the ultimate dimensional transportation system, that would combine Fields, Lojedan essence, Floo powder, and Portals. This machine would be known as The Collider.
Dan yearned to one day visit Dimandia, to step on that diamond soil that hasn't been stepped on for Millions of years. Diamonds were also semi-valuable resources that would allow him to trade for all the materials he needed to defeat Unahzaal. And the diamonds of Dimandia were no ordinary diamonds, they were the purest form, purer than ever conceived before, and they possessed tremendous energy, which allowed them to power the living creatures of Dimandia.
So Dan had made plans to set out to Dimandia, but he needed a few more ingredients before he could get there. So he used the collider to visit your realm, an isolated realm known as Dnalrah. And he asked you for his aid. And you aided him, and things went horribly.
The Doctor and Dan perished. And perish you did as well, yet you appeared again, and you changed the course of history forever. You were born when Unahzaal sneezed, and death now is nothing but a sneeze. When Galvana saw this, she grieved not but believed. A creature that can defeat death can never fail against the herald of death. And that brings you here. You've been tasked to kill Unahzaal once and for all, Galvana has sent two of the Miñarians to aid you: Aeter, one who heard Galvana's stories but seldom remembered them and Miguel, a previous Dimension Jumper who retired. Your task is to chart every corner of the grid and rid the world of the corrupt and Unahzaal's forces.
