This is a modpack heavily inspired by the State of Decay Franchise by UndeadLabs! It has features related to it as well as new features to compliment the Minecraft Survival Experience!
This is a hardcore modpack meant not for the faint of heart. It should be very difficult without being unfair at the same time. Develop strategies and synergies on your way to become the king of the infinite wasteland!

Decaying Blocks is a Zombie Survival Modpack replicating gameplay from State of Decay.

This Modpack is a Hardcore Modpack with weaker zombies but better AI.

Zombies are the only spawning mobs in the game. The Nether cannot be accessed.
Zombies any longer burn under sunlight but don't roam as much during the day.
Zombies can't see well but are attracted to light. If your base is lit, It's basically a beacon.
Zombies can hear and smell you, when you take damage, you bleed. Breaking blocks can attract zombies as well.
Zombies have less health but are now a horde mob. Zombies attract each other to make hordes and roam around.

With the Right Tool, Zombies can break any block except Iron related items, e.g., Iron Bars, Iron Blocks, Iron Trapdoors (Might change the blocks if I find something better but for now this is how you can keep your base together).

Make sure to routinely check your base, Zombies somehow in some way make tunnels under your base (It's terrifying).

You have new hunger and health systems as well as a new addition of temperature, thirst and health. Location damage is also present, protecting your head is vital.

You cannot naturally regenerate health. And bones can be broken, as for hunger, you cannot eat one of the same foods. You will get malnutrition and won't get anything from it.

Drinking water is a must if your vision gets blurry it means you are dehydrated. Crouching and Right-Clicking on water sources or the sky, while it's raining, can hydrate you.

Watch your temperature and keep it normal (Gray), There are also seasons to worry about.

The world is dead, not much can be found.
Trees are scarce and animals are scarcer.
Buildings contains chests with custom loot or just plain empty.
Darkness is dark. Depending on the moon phase you can get a different amount of moonlight.
Torches will die out.
Food will spoil.
There is also a 10% chance (1/10) for a blood moon to rise.
1 day is 1 hour long.

Some Disclaimers

SOME shaders are somewhat funny. To be precise it is with the guns, and I can't fix it, I can use another gun mod, but I am not sure if I should yet.

Armor will phase through you, use cosmetic armor to you know make it disappear or disable Mo' Bends it's your choice.

Optifine is optional but is highly recommended to avoid visual glitches.

Final Note

The main purpose is for you all the enjoy a survivalist game with your friends or by yourself. It's a hard game so expect a lot of deaths.
