Data Center in the Sky 1.3.1
What's new
Data Center in the Sky 1.3.1
The Data Center mod moves from 1.6.7 to 1.6.9. The mod list is otherwise unchanged. An existing world updates in place - nothing has to be rebuilt.
Multiplayer, done properly
Nothing is shared between players any more. Every player - or every FTB Teams party - has their own hosting reputation and customer classes, their own grid capacity, their own Log Buyer market, their own software research, their own Hall of Fame and Mining Records, their own solo or pool setting, and their own grid outages and DDoS attacks. Messages about a machine, the Alarm Panel and quest progress go to its owner's team only. News, prices, the calendar and politics stay the same for everybody.
An existing world keeps what it had: the old shared values go to its first player - in singleplayer, you.
A much bigger spawn on the server
The spawn of datacenter.modded.fun is now a campus 81 blocks across: a data hall with cooling
towers, gardens, a solar field, a radio mast, floating islets - and two new places:
- The Academy: the early game in seven stations along a pergola - the Log Buyer, the Shop, putting your servers into the bays, power, Bitcoin, hosting and Compute.
- The Hall of Fame: the leaderboards for teams and solo players, in front of a tall wall with a stand to watch them from.
More in the Shop
- Pre-built servers for a purpose: a Compute server for the Rack, a Hosting server for the Hosting Rack, and a mining server for every coin from its launch on - card rigs for BTC, LTC, ETH and KAS, processors for XMR, a disk farm for XCH. Always from the parts on sale at the time, at the parts' price plus 50%.
For server operators
/island delete <player>removes an island that is no longer played, after asking.
The full list is in the mod's changelog on its CurseForge page.
