This was the modpack that my friends and I used during our upcoming series where we built a zoo in Minecraft. A list of the mods and a brief explanation for their inclusion is below:
- Alex's Mobs: The main mod that this modpack revolves around, contains a lot of cool real-world mobs you can put in your zoo.
- Mob Lassos: I wanted a way to transport the animals easily, and this mod let's you make lassos that you can pick-up all of the animals with and carry them a distance. The mobs will escape if you leave them in the lasso for long enough.
- Just Enough Items: Helps with crafting recipes.
- The Aether/Twilight Forest/Tropicraft: Classic dimension mods that adds in better gear you can use and new blocks you can build with. Not required for the zoo, however.
- Mutant Creatures: Another classic mod that is not required for the zoo, but it is fun to have enabled in the world. It adds in a few custom bosses based on existing Minecraft mobs that spawn randomly during the night.
