Createch 2 — v0.6.7e

Questbook rebalance

  • Rebalanced the complete 1,044-quest progression without changing the existing chapter structure.
  • Removed all quest loot-table rewards that could skip machines, materials, exploration, or entire progression steps.
  • Every quest now awards scaled XP instead:
    • 5 XP for minor tasks
    • 15 XP for standard progression
    • 40 XP for major milestones
    • 100 XP for age-defining achievements
  • Reduced inventory-detection tasks from 1,207 to 931.
  • Replaced many passive item checks with block observation and advancement tasks.
  • Removed manual checkmark tasks where progress can be verified automatically.
  • Rewrote and shortened quest descriptions so objectives are clearer and less repetitive.
  • Side chapters are now presented as optional contracts for deeper play instead of mandatory completion requirements.
  • Standardized the full questbook and GuideME documentation around Tiers 0–16.

Progression authority

  • Added a new Single Authority pass to reduce overlapping systems and give each major mod a clearer role.
  • Power Grid is now the player-facing electrical infrastructure backbone.
  • Enabled MI’s bidirectional NeoForge energy compatibility so industrial machines can participate in the shared power network.
  • Removed craftable Mekanism universal cables.
  • Contained MI and Modern Dynamics electrical cables as internal or hidden components instead of competing player-facing networks.
  • Modern Dynamics now focuses on industrial item and fluid transport, with newly balanced recipes for:
    • Item Pipes
    • Fluid Pipes
    • Extractors
    • Attractors
    • Filters
    • Inhibitors
    • Machine Extenders
  • Trimmed Classic Pipes back to its intended early enclosed-logistics role.
  • Retiered Mining Gadgets across titanium, platinum, iridium, Power Grid, digital, and quantum infrastructure.
  • Removed duplicate vanilla copper equipment and redundant HardRock primitive tools.
  • Removed Mekanism Tools from the pack because its equipment duplicated established TFC and industrial progression.

Geology and ore processing

  • Reinforced TerraFirmaCraft geology as the pack’s primary physical ore authority.
  • Disabled Create’s independent world generation.
  • Disabled NuclearCraft’s duplicate ore generation.
  • Removed AllTheOres raw ores, raw blocks, and world ores from common ore tags, crafting, loot, and JEI.
  • AllTheOres remains available for standardized processed metal forms where appropriate.
  • Almost Unified no longer treats duplicate ores and raw materials as preferred outputs.
  • Added MI macerator concentration recipes for graded TFC Metallurgy ores.
  • Poor, normal, and rich ores now produce increasing concentrate yields.
  • Added concentration support for:
    • Bauxite
    • Bertrandite
    • Magnesite
    • Monazite
    • Native Osmium
    • Native Platinum
    • Rutile
    • Spodumene
    • Stibnite
    • Uraninite
    • Wolframite
    • Zircon
  • Direct furnace and blasting shortcuts remain blocked for advanced materials such as aluminum, iridium, osmium, platinum, and uranium.

TerraFirmaCraft compatibility and performance

  • Removed the redundant global TFC recipe-replacement sweep.
  • TFC compatibility is now handled primarily through item tags and narrow Createch-owned block tags.
  • Preserved cross-mod support for TFC:
    • Wood
    • Stone
    • Leather
    • Fibers
    • Paper
    • Glass
    • Ceramics
    • Tools
    • Armor
    • Metal forms
    • Industrial components
  • Eliminated hundreds of unnecessary recipe modifications during loading.
  • Reduced the risk of placement and interaction delays caused by overly broad compatibility handling.
  • Added registry checks to JEI and creative-tab cleanup so missing items are skipped cleanly instead of generating repeated warnings.

Chance Cubes

  • Removed progression materials, machines, ores, alloys, and industrial components from custom Chance Cube reward pools.
  • Rewards now focus on food, decorations, novelty tools, music, consumables, and morale items.
  • Chance Cubes should provide memorable events without solving the factory for the player.
  • Converted destructive creeper and delayed-blast outcomes into safety inspections and dramatic false alarms.
  • Updated Giant Chance Cube rewards with the same progression-safe philosophy.

Menu and presentation

  • Rebuilt the Createch 2 menu presentation around a new planet-in-space panorama.
  • Added new title, subtitle, status, tagline, and version artwork.
  • Added individually designed artwork for:
    • Continue
    • Singleplayer
    • Multiplayer
    • Options
    • Field Manual
    • Quit
  • Updated all major menu screens to match the new visual language.
  • Added Seamless Loading Screen for smoother transitions between menus and worlds.
  • Added a direct YetAnotherConfigLib dependency for consistent configuration support.

Additional changes

  • Raised the Cosmonautics Overworld and Moon transfer ceiling from 1,024 to 20,000 blocks.
  • Disabled FTB Chunks force-loading to reduce persistent background server load.
  • Reduced natural mooshroom conversion frequency.
  • Updated AE2 Wireless Terminals.
  • Updated Productive Farming.
  • Updated Supplementaries.
  • Updated TarotCards: Remastered.
  • Updated JEI sorting and duplicate-item cleanup.
  • Removed stale Legendary Survival Overhaul configs and leftover .bak files from the export.

Updating existing worlds

Existing worlds remain usable, but geology and world-generation changes only affect newly generated chunks. Mekanism Tools was removed, so equipment from that mod will not carry forward into 0.6.7e.
