CREATE: SKIES OF THE AETHER

Create: Skies of the Aether is a versatile modpack that allows you to progress from stone and wood tools, hiding in caves, to constructing glorious nuclear factories in the skies of the Aether.

FEATURES

Featuring the Create suite and the Aether, along with other mods such as Architect's Palette, Better Archaeology, Farmer's Delight and compatibility mods, L_Ender's Cataclysm, Aquaculture 2, the Undergarden, Cold Sweat, Thirst was Taken, and daedelus_dev's Better Combat, Create: Skies of the Aether isn't just Create and the Aether: it is creativity and variability.

As a little added bonus, the amazing world generation mod/datapack Cliff under a Tree (Clifftree) provides improved biomes and an overall better exploration experience, especially when paired with the YUNG's suite of mods, Call of Yucatán, and some Dungeons and Taverns structure mods.

Uncover relics of the past, survive an unforgiving wilderness, create epic bases and structures, industrialise your world, and go on epic quests, all in one lightweight, flexible, and customisable modpack.

Progression and survival have been completely revamped in Create: Skies of the Aether. Cold Sweat and Thirst was Taken make survival more challenging, but more rewarding, and both are compatible with Farmer's Delight and Create. As well as a better survival experience, Create, Farmer's Delight, Aquaculture, Galosphere, Spelunkery, and L_Ender's Cataclysm provide more content to explore.

Several unique magic systems, involving Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Call of Yucatán, and Sons of Sins, allows you to go full fantasy RPG with necromantic elements, or instead you can evolve and head towards industrial progression in Create, Create: The Factory Must Grow, and Create Nuclear.

But a modpack with all of these features simply wouldn't be complete without revamped End and Nether progression. While the Aether and Undergarden provide some unique sights to see, they aren't required to access the End and beat the dragon. First, you need to collect Dimensional Tears (rhymes with SCARES) to light Nether portals. Then, you need to locate various unique Ender Eyes to actually light the portal. In addition, the Dimensional Tears mod does a relatively large revamp of the End terrain generation and makes the entire dimension more ominous.

SUGGESTIONS

You can suggest any mods in the comments, as well as provide bug reports and feedback! I will take each suggestion into consideration, and add mods I feel fit the theme of the modpack. You can also edit your own installation and add your own mods, if you like.

TRADE-OFFS

This modpack originally had less Create mods and addons but it included Valkyrien Skies and Eureka! Ships! (hence the name 'Skies of the Aether'). I made a hard decision to remove Valkyrien Skies and add more Create addons, because I felt like it should focus more on development rather than having flying boats. The reason I couldn't do both is because most of these Create addons aren't compatible with Valkyrien Skies, and I had to downgrade Create to 5.1, which removed many features. I may make an original version of this modpack featuring Valkyrien Skies in the future, but until then, I will not add Valkyrien Skies unless the compatability is updated.

However, I did add Immersive Aircraft (and it's compats with Create) is a kind of sorry, because I still want to be flying around the Aether.

All the mods in this modpack were made by different authors and I all thank each and every one for making such amazing mods. Each mod in this modpack must be quality, with both good mechanics and good textures to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. I will occasionally update this modpack to improve the experience, but this is currently version 1.0, so there will most likely be bugs that I can't fix yet due to mod incompatibility or bugs in the mods themselves. Please don't yell at me for these bugs, but if I can fix them then I will do so.

This compilation of all your work and the work of many others would never have been possible without each and every single one of you. You inspired me to create (pun not intended) this modpack and without you the entire modding community would be the lesser for it. WARNINGS, NOTICES, AND BUGS

You can customise this modpack however you want, but some mods are incompatible:
Valkyrien Skies - this mod requires a different version of Create and that reduces the amount of Create addons that are able to be used.

I recommend dedicating a significant chunk of your RAM to this pack if you are on a lower-end device. The pack runs at <20 FPS on around 6000MBs for those who are wondering.

By far the largest bug that will show itself in this pack is the inability to create superflat worlds. I don't know whether this is because I have a really crappy computer or because of mods in the pack but I am working on a fix whenever I can.

Please post any other bugs in the comments so that I can put them here and try to fix them. If they are a known bug with a mod itself, please don't yell at me because there's nothing I can really do about it until the mod developers fix the bug. If it's a compatibility issue, and there is a fix, please notify me so I can implement it as soon as possible.
