What's new

203 mods (+15) · 804 quests (+170) · 51 chapters (+7)

Grow it, farm it, bag it

Mystical Agriculture turns ore into a crop: inferium essence and prosperity shards become seeds at the infusion altar — iron, diamond, redstone, draconium, uraninite, and with the soulium dagger the seeds of zombies, blazes and endermen. Six tiers up to Insanium, where nether stars grow on a crux. Twenty-six quests, following the mod's own book. Pam's HarvestCraft 2 is the pack's third kitchen: about 80 crops from gardens found in the world, 50 fruit and nut trees, eight kitchen tools that sit in the recipe without being consumed, and over 800 dishes from toast to beef Wellington. Twenty-four quests. Mob Grinding Utils builds mob farms that aren't ugly: dreadful dirt to spawn, fans to push, a saw that counts as a player kill, an absorption hopper for drops and experience, and an XP solidifier that turns liquid experience into blocks you can store. Twenty-one quests. TorchmasterOpenBlocks ElevatorMob Lootbags and Chance Cubes round it off: a mega torch that keeps monsters off the whole base, an elevator you jump into, loot bags from every monster in five rarities, and dice in block form for those who like a gamble. Twenty quests in the chapter Comfort & Luck. Inferium and prosperity ore double in the Create crushing wheels and Mekanism's enricher; Pam's flour also comes from the Create millstone.

Power, from the water wheel up

A new chapter, Power: The First Sources, lays out every way to make electricity in the pack side by side, cheapest first. A water wheel and an alternator. A furnace-fed Furnator, a heat generator sitting in lava, a Stirling engine with a better capacitor. Solar rows, a wind turbine on a mountain, a thermo generator over a lava lake. Compressed air, mana and gas turned into power. Then the reactors, in order. Forty quests that also explain storage, cables, wireless transfer and charging — and what FE, Joules and SU actually mean.

Two new ways to make it

Powah! — seven tiers of the same clean machines: Furnator, Magmator, thermo generator, solar panel, energy cell, cable, and the energizing orb where iron and gold become energized steel and diamonds become crystals. Its reactor is 36 blocks that assemble themselves; uraninite in, water and dry ice to cool, coal and redstone to tune. Twenty-five quests from dielectric paste to the nitro tier. Extreme Reactors — the classic. Build a reactor out of casing blocks in any shape up to 5×5×5, then reinforced up to 256; fuel rods, control rods, graphite between them. Run it passively for power or actively for steam, and put that steam through a turbine with a rotor you design yourself. Cyanite waste goes into the reprocessor and comes back as blutonium. Twenty-four quests from yellorite to a running power plant. Both are tied in: uraninite and yellorium double in the Create crushing wheels and Mekanism's enricher, dielectric paste mixes in a heated basin with liquid lava.

Fixed

  • The quest book lists its chapters in tabs again. Chapters of the Magic, World & Life and Farm & Kitchen tabs had lost their tab and were shown as a loose list at the top of the book — an ID formatting issue, not a content one; no chapter was missing.
  • Lanterns on the belt (Curious Lanterns) now actually glow. Sodium/Embeddium Dynamic Lights ships with "entity light sources" switched off, and that switch also silences Radiant Gear, the bridge that lights up accessory slots — hands worked, the belt did not. The pack now ships the client config with that switch on, and additionally declares the light value of every lantern from Additional Lanterns, Macaw's Lights and Supplementaries explicitly, so none of them depends on its block's default state.
  • The server list showed a red "Incompatible FML modded server" even with matching versions — joining worked, the status check did not. Cause: Xaero's Minimap and World Map ship an embedded library (xaerolib) that does not declare itself client-side, so the client reported it as missing on the server. Both map mods are now part of the server pack (they run fine there); the indicator is green again.

Under the hood

  • Every client-side mod — including the mods it embeds — is now checked at build time for Forge's DisplayTest handling; the build refuses to produce a pack that would turn the server list red.
