Create Gensokyo

Create: Gensokyo is a multiplayer-focused modpack where hardcore engineering meets player-driven politics. We removed overpowered items and integrated all progression into the Create mod to promote trade, infrastructure, and player interaction.

Engineer & Automate: Build massive assembly lines, cook hundreds of meals, and hire Touhou maids to help run your factories.

Govern & Trade: Participate in a physical economy governed by a player-elected Council.

Risk & Reward: Smuggle contraband, fund rebellions, or engage in a high-stakes raiding system with real consequences.

Immersive Interaction: Proximity chat and voice, hidden nametags, and beautifully overhauled terrain using Dynamic trees, burnt and more.

About the Pack

Create: Gensokyo is a balanced, Create-focused modpack built specifically for multiplayer (but can still be enjoyed in singleplayer). We wanted a world where players actually have to interact, engineer, and play politics instead of just rushing to the best gear in a few days.

To make that happen, we overhauled the progression. Overpowered items (Mattercannons, Spatial storage, cheap recipes) have been removed or altered and integrated with Create. You have to build functioning assembly lines to progress. In the official server for this pack, this is to promote player trade and specialization.

We also packed the world with flavor and things to do:

The Culinary Arts: Thanks to Farmer's Delight and its many add-ons, there are hundreds of different crops and meals to farm, cook, and sell.

The Black Market: There is a fully functioning drug and contraband system using the Addictives mod for players who want to run illicit businesses.

Companions: The Touhou Little Maid mod is integrated, letting you hire customizable workers to help defend your base or automate your farms.

The Official Create: Gensokyo Server

The pack includes custom scripts built for our official server to run a completely player-driven society:

Elections & Economy: The server is run by a player-elected Council that rotates every two weeks. They manage the economy, pay players for resources, and hire labor. Players earn physical currency by finding the Seven World Wonders, completing advancements, and a tiny bit from playtime. If players hate the current ruler, they can pool their money to fund a rebellion and overthrow them.

Vigilante Raiding: You can declare raids on other players' bases, but doing so comes with heavy consequences and puts a target on your own back.

Proximity Comms: We use proximity voice chat and hide player nametags. You never know who is walking towards you until they are right next to you. Additionally, there are mechanics to legally restrain players and check their inventories for contraband!
