Create Connected World v0.4.2
What's new
Create Connected World v4.2
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.250
What changed
- Added Quicksand 2.0.0 to the client and server. Quicksand can appear in newly generated suitable terrain; already generated chunks will not be rewritten.
- Updated the 20-chapter questbook. The Hearth chapter adds the A Replantable Woodland sapling goal. Keepers and Living Atlas use the current observation advancements, while Combat and Bestiary no longer require Field Guide scans for their kill goals.
- Updated CreativeCore, Moog's Structure Lib, Ars Elemental, Create: Food, Field Guide, FTB Library, Naturalist, Puzzles Lib, Sophisticated Backpacks, and client-side FancyMenu from the V5 profile.
- Reduced settings resets: the client package leaves out Minecraft controls and video settings, keybinds, map and waypoint data, and selected personal mod preferences.
Before updating
Back up your world and profile. For the move from v3.1 to the v4 series, we recommend a new world: the broader v4 world-generation changes can leave large, visible borders between old and newly generated chunks. Adding Quicksand alone does not rewrite old terrain, but it also does not eliminate those v3.1-to-v4 seams. Previously earned ccw_quests:observe/... or ccw_quests:observe_any/... spyglass advancements should satisfy their new quest tasks when that same player rejoins the updated world. Field Guide unlocks alone do not satisfy the new spyglass tasks; those observations need to be made with a spyglass.
For the most reliable preservation of personal settings, update to a separate CurseForge profile and copy your personal files from the old profile after installation. See README.md for the specific files and server update steps.
