Its a hard survival modepack (Seriously), try to survive the harsh weather. thirst, random natural disasters ,the wild life and random charged creepers that will rush you in the middle of the day and do not forget that the mobs can break in to your house at night. You would have to rely on tech with the Mekanism to get the endgame The Aether II. Good luck.
If you are having truble with low FPS try disabling the Better Foliage Mod.
