Craft & Wonder [A Vanilla+ Modpack]

Welcome to the definitive overhaul of Craft & Wonder! Version 0.4.0 completely reworks the features I had implemented previously, opting instead for The Undergarden, and a three-chapter simultaneous questline to introduce you to magic, tech, and exploration! This pack was originally designed as a small side-project for some friends, but has quickly begun to blow up into a fully configured modpack for all to enjoy!

🍄 Goodbye Canopy, Hello Caves

• The Twilight Forest has been completely removed.

• In its place, brace yourselves for The Undergarden—a hazardous subterranean ecosystem buried far beneath bedrock where daylight has never touched the stone.
• Chapter 3 has been entirely rewritten with custom subterranean quests, automated freight shipping setups, and specialized Farmer's Delight compatibility to harvest and cook toxic alien flora safely.
• Prepare for The Awakened Muncher—a custom datapack miniboss serving as the definitive, high-stakes gate to the skies of Chapter 4.

⛓️ The Progression Triangle (Create × Ars × Undergarden)

To prevent players from completely skipping mods or rushing the end-game, Chapter 2 (Ars Nouveau) now unlocks dynamically from Chapter 1. Chapters 1, 2, and 3 can now be explored simultaneously, linked by strict cross-mod recipe handshakes:

• The Mechanical Press: Now requires a solid Block of Cloggrum from the Undergarden, halting advanced sheet manufacturing until you brave the depths.
• The Source Jar: Unified across all three major domains, requiring Create Gold Sheets and Undergarden Depthrock to insulate the liquid magic.
• Magebloom Fibers: Woven using Veil Mushrooms from the deep trenches to create your starter magical robes.
• Heated Platinum Refining: Platinum Ores have been soft-locked. They can no longer be cooked in vanilla furnaces; you must construct a high-speed, fueled Create Mechanical Mixer basin to melt the alpine ore down.

🎨 Visuals & Quality of Life Enhancements

• Pre-Installed Shaders: Built-in shader support is live! Version 0.4.0 ships with five beautiful shaders pre-installed and configured out of the box for instant eye-candy.
• Automated Kitchens: Integrated support between Farmer's Delight and Create allows you to use the new Slicer block to fully automate your cutting boards and meal prep lines.
• Integrated Veinminer: Excavate massive ore veins or clear deep stone rooms instantly. Just crouch while mining to trigger the excavation mechanic.
• FancyMenu Update: Our custom title screen has been expanded to feature two beautifully rotating main menu background layouts that capture the true essence of engineering and sorcery.

🛠️ Installation & System Requirements

• RAM Allocation: For optimal performance, ensure you have allocated 6GB–8GB of RAM in your CurseForge launcher settings.
• Updating Your Game: If for some reason your modpack profile doesn't automatically update, click the two arrows next to the "Play" button, and select the latest release.
