What are the system requirements, both for the computer and the server?
Your computer should have 16 GB of Ram installed. Of that, you should assign 8 GB of Ram to Minecraft. If you play with friends on a private server, the server should have about 5 to 8 GB of Ram, otherwise the server would be overloaded.
