What is Fabled Wylds?

Cottage Witch 2: Fabled Wylds is a cozy, cottagecore Minecraft experience for Neoforge 1.21.1, meant to be played by those who love exploration, base-building, magic, and who are perhaps a bit of a loot goblin. It is inspired by real-life cottage witchcraft, which is a contemporary eclectic practice involving domestic, everyday witchery: cooking, crafting, making art, and decorating one's surroundings. It focuses on the idea of the hearth, and intends to be a goodly home to those who visit.

Brew potions and perform rites with Hexerei, Enchanted, Hexalia, and Roots. Grow a garden, keep a full pantry, and cook your way through Farmer's Delight and the Let's Do mods. Paint, sketch, sew, take photographs, and compose music. Then furnish your cottage with all the cute decor you could ever want.

The world is bigger and wilder, too: new biomes, a whole lot of adorable animals to befriend, and dimensions like the Twilight Forest and the Bumblezone to wander through.

A hand-written quest book (narrated by a fellow witch with opinions) walks you through most of the content. Earn keepsakes from each chapter, and when you've collected them all, perform the Wyldkeeper rite to obtain your own Hearth.

Is Cottage Witch 2 a sequel?

CW2 is a spiritual successor to the original Cottage Witch modpack, and is made by the same author (hi, it's me). It differs from the original in several distinct ways. Aside from being on the more modern version of 1.21.1, it also refocuses the vibe from "high fantasy magic" like Ars Nouveau to a more naturalistic magic, like Hexalia and Roots. Additionally, though it contains Create, it no longer requires any Create progression, so that people who prefer not to engage with it can ignore it, but it still exists for those who like it for decoration and automation.
