We've got Vanilla MC, The Chocolate Edition Modpack, and now... Cookies 'N Cream! (Nobody cares about strawberry) This isn't just a content modpack, it's a faithful remastering of Minecraft through updating the visuals and optimizing to the max. Even a potato could run this, and much, much better than just plain Vanilla.
Let's get to the content of the pack. It's pretty light, well under 100 mods/resource packs. Wether you're a casual or even an expert player, Cookies 'N Cream will give you a fresh new experience.
Mods: I've gone very lightwieght on the actual new content of this pack. For the most part, you'll see more realistic terrain gen, additional biome features, a taller Nether, and an expanded End dimension thanks to EnderScapes. Wherever you go, you'll spot a handfull of structures from Explorify and DnT. Progression is completely untouched, as Cookies 'N Cream is meant to enhance the base game, not replace it.
Resource Packs: Believe it or not, the Resource Packs are actually the beef and butter of CnC. We've got a crisp new dark-themed UI and HUD, Fresh Animations for both the player and mobs, better textures for grass and water, updated armor and tools models, and a whole bunch of other small improvements thanks to VanillaTweaks. In the visual section, you'll see a resource pack that changes the game for low end players.
Performance: In the performance section, there's a whole stack of optimization mods that not only boost fps but also let even the most potato-iest of PCs run shaders. To name a few; Sodium+Addons, Iris, Lithium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, Nosium, ImmediatlyFast, and more.
Visuals: This is where things get interesting. There's a whole bunch of shader options for you too chose from depending on your hardware, but even if you disable shaders...there's still shaders? Thanks to the Reshaded mod, you'll get a shader like look with NO fps drop at all. This is great for lower end people, as the game looks amazing with the Reshaded Resource Pack.
