Convergence - All-in-One Pack
Download, launch, play. This pack is Convergence and nothing else (plus Fabric API on Fabric, which it requires): one mod that replaces dozens, already set up.
What you get on first launch
- The Convergence world type is selected by default when you create a world, so you get the new biomes without opening More World Options. "Default" is still one click away if you want a vanilla world.
- Settings are preconfigured. Every module is on, with the light shaders preset. Everything can be changed in game: Options > Convergence…
- A quest book (button at the top left of your inventory) guides you from your first tools to the end of each module.
What's inside Convergence
- Unified materials and gear: 20 materials (7 new ores, 5 alloys, 4 dungeon materials), tools and armor for each, new weapons (dagger, halberd, warhammer, longbows), 23 enchantments and a pick-your-enchantment table.
- A bigger world: 10 new Overworld biomes, 3 in the Nether and 2 in the End, each with its own plants, creature and structure; four large multi-room dungeons with bosses; villages built from the biome's wood.
- Maps and travel: minimap, full-screen world map, waypoints and waystones.
- Storage: backpacks, upgradable chests and furnaces, sorting, shulker box previews.
- Quality of life: look-at tooltip, hunger and durability info, right-click harvest, fast leaf decay, zoom, dynamic lights, light shaders.
- Recipe viewer built in (it replaces JEI, REI and EMI).
Every module can be tuned or turned off in game.
Installation
- Install the pack with the CurseForge app, Modrinth App, Prism Launcher or any launcher that supports modpacks.
- Give the game at least 4 GB of memory (a reminder appears on the title screen if it has less).
- Create a new world: Convergence (biomes) is already selected.
Fabric and NeoForge versions are published separately: pick the one that matches your launcher profile.
Good to know
- Server: the same pack works on a dedicated server. World settings are in
serverconfig/convergence-server.propertiesinside the world folder. - Adding more mods: Convergence is compatible by design (tag-based recipes, common
c:tags). Mods that do the same job as one of its modules (a minimap, a zoom, JEI/REI/EMI…) make that module step aside automatically. - Already generated chunks keep their biomes; new biomes only appear in newly generated terrain.
- Updating the pack can reset the default settings found in
config/convergence-client.properties. Worlds you already visited keep their own settings.
