Compact Journey

Compact Journey is a Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge modpack focused on guided progression, automation, magic, exploration, and a custom coin-based economy. The pack brings together more than 300 mods and connects them through FTB Quests, KubeJS custom recipes, balanced rewards, and a shop system built around Magic Coins.

The main goal of Compact Journey is to give players a clear long-term journey without removing the freedom of a large kitchen-sink modpack. You can progress through technology, magic, storage, bees, crops, combat, exploration, and endgame crafting while using quests as a guide and coins as an extra layer of progression.

Main Features

• Guided progression with FTB Quests:
  The modpack includes many quest chapters covering early game, storage, logistics, Create, Mekanism, Powah, Productive Bees, Mystical Agriculture, Iron's Spells, Apotheosis, Forbidden Arcanus, Occultism, Cataclysm, Allthemodium progression, and endgame goals.

• Custom Magic Coins economy:
  Quest rewards and loot chests are balanced around silver, gold, and crystal coins. These coins can be used in the quest shop to buy useful materials, quality-of-life items, progression helpers, and mod-specific resources.

• Expanded quest shop:
  The shop is not just a small reward dump. It includes general purchases, coin conversion, useful starter items, storage upgrades, automation materials, magical resources, and mini-shops inside several mod questlines. Stronger items are priced higher or locked behind progression so the economy supports the journey instead of skipping it.

• Automation and technology:
  Build factories and power systems with mods like Create, Mekanism, Powah, Applied Energistics 2, Sophisticated Storage, Sophisticated Backpacks, Hostile Neural Networks, and more. These systems help reduce grind while still rewarding planning and progression.

• Magic and combat progression:
  Explore magical systems with Iron's Spells, Forbidden Arcanus, Occultism, Artifacts, Relics, Apotheosis, and other adventure-focused mods. Gear progression, bosses, gems, spells, and rare drops give players more ways to build their character.

• Resource generation through bees and crops:
  Productive Bees and Mystical Agriculture are part of the core progression. Some advanced resources, including Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium, and ATM Star-related content, have custom progression to make them feel more rewarding and less trivial.

• Server-friendly quest progression:
  Quest and progression systems are configured to be individual, so one player completing something does not automatically complete it for everyone. This makes the pack better for multiplayer servers where each player wants their own progress.

• Improved starter experience:
  New players begin with a small starter kit, including basic survival tools, food, a Magic Coins amulet, and an empty Sophisticated Backpack equipped on their back.
