Colony Protocol: Verdant is the first module of the Colonial Program — a guided NeoForge 1.21.1 experience from SpecterRealm.
You wake at the edge of a forest with no memory of how you got here. CASPAR, the ship’s training AI, explains the mission: learn to build a civilization from substrate when the ground will not hand you ore on a pickaxe. Dig, sieve, smelt, automate — and prove you can sustain a colony before the ACS Longwatch reaches Kethara.
What makes Verdant different
- Overworld training ground — full terrain and caves (Terralith), not a void skyblock island
- No ore veins — metal and gems come from the Ex Deorum sieving loop: hammer → sieve → process → smelt
- Quest-guided progression — FTB Quests walk you from first camp through Create, storage, processing, networks, and industrial scale
- Field Manual — in-game Patchouli guide tied to the CASPAR archive voice
- Automation spine — Create, Sophisticated Storage, Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, CC:Tweaked, and more, unlocked in a deliberate order
Design philosophy
Learn to grow what you cannot mine.
Progression rewards systems that scale — autocrafting, power, logistics — not checklist busywork. Optional side paths and lore notes reward explorers without blocking the mainline.
