Welcome to... Beta Times.
(okay I’ll stop.)

This is the first BETA release of the newest version of Cold Times, completely rebuilt from the ground up (again).

-THE STORM is BACK-

Changes worth mentioning:

  • Campfires are now 2x more effective, but come with a new mechanic - Introducing Jem's Fueled Campfires mod > you must fuel them to keep them lit and providing warmth. (Campfires might get buffed more in the future.)
  • All world generation mods have been replaced with Terralith, and most warm biomes have been removed from existence. (Also no modded biomes for now.)
  • A lot of QoL improvements: new particles, effects, and sounds have been added. (Sounds, Subtle Effects)
  • Better optimization - and hopefully it stays that way as the versions releases as this version is quite... flat. But it’s just the beginning.
  • Updated logos and main menu
  • AND MORE....

Right now, the modpack might feel a bit plain - many mods from previous versions aren’t included yet. I’ll be working on that, and soon:

  • DANGER will return
  • More structures will reappear
  • And the STORY will be back...
