Cold Mine is a frozen industrial zombie-survival modpack focused on harsh winter survival, mining, base defense, and aggressive zombie hordes.
The world is trapped in deadly cold, so players must manage temperature, shelter, and warmth while exploring snowy landscapes and dangerous underground mines. Campfire Upgrades, expands the survival loop by making campfires and heat sources more important for staying alive in the cold.
The main threat is the zombie family rather than every hostile mob. Zombies, husks, drowned, zombie villagers, and zombified piglins are much more aggressive than vanilla: they can sense players from far away, react to sound and light, gather into hordes, and some spawn with pickaxes that let them break through common blocks and attack fortified bases.
Progression mixes survival, mining, Create-style industry, automation, and firearms. Players build machines, reinforce bases, gather resources, and scavenge ammo from zombies, with rare gun drops giving combat a high-risk survival-apocalypse feel.
