Cogwork Frontier

A frontier story that starts with a single cogwheel, in the wasteland of a fallen empire. A Korean-first, Create-focused tech and automation modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge).

The Story

The old empire is gone. Only its machines remain, buried under the wasteland. You are a settler sent by the Frontier Guild. Over the radio, Bram, the guild's old engineer, walks you through rebuilding what was lost.

Start with a water wheel by the river. Work through brass workshops, steam engines, railways, electricity and oil, and build a nuclear reactor. Later, take to the sea and sky with ships, airships, planes and tracked vehicles.

Recommended

• Allocate 8 GB of memory to the game (16 GB system RAM recommended).
• Shaders are GPU-heavy. Lower the shader profile or press K to turn them off.
• Vehicles are physics-heavy. Many large airships or vehicles in one area can cause lag.
• CurseForge picks the right Java version for you.

Installing

1. In the CurseForge app: Minecraft → Create Custom Profile → Import, then choose the pack zip. Or search for this pack on CurseForge and install it.
2. In ⋯ → Profile Options, raise memory to 8 GB.
3. Launch. Shaders, resource packs, Korean language and keybinds are already set up. Switch the language in Options if you prefer English.

Good to Know

• Stuck? Hover over an item and hold W to open Create's Ponder animations.
• The force-loaded chunk limit is raised to 100 per player (FTB Chunks).
• Works on multiplayer servers. Simple Voice Chat must also be installed on the server.

이야기

옛 제국은 사라지고, 땅속엔 그들의 기계만 잠들어 있습니다. 당신은 개척 조합이 황무지로 보낸 개척민입니다. 무전기 너머에서는 조합의 늙은 기술자 브람이 말을 걸어옵니다.

• 탈것은 물리 계산이 많습니다. 큰 비행선이나 차량을 여러 대 두면 렉이 생길 수 있습니다.
• Java는 CurseForge가 알아서 맞춰 줍니다.

설치

1. CurseForge 앱에서 Minecraft → Create Custom Profile → Import를 누르고 팩 zip을 선택합니다. 또는 CurseForge에서 이 팩을 검색해 설치합니다.
2. 프로필 설정(⋯ → Profile Options)에서 메모리를 8GB로 올립니다.
3. 실행하면 셰이더, 리소스 팩, 한국어, 조작키 설정이 이미 적용되어 있습니다.

알아 두면 좋은 것

• 막히면 아이템에 커서를 올리고 W 키를 꾹 눌러 Create의 Ponder(애니메이션 설명서)를 보세요.
• 강제 로딩 청크 한도는 플레이어당 100개로 늘려 두었습니다(FTB Chunks).
• 멀티플레이 서버에서도 쓸 수 있습니다. 음성 채팅(Simple Voice Chat)은 서버에도 설치해야 작동합니다.
