Wake up on a lonely island above the clouds and grow it into a sky empire with Create: build machines, fly airships to biome islands, floating ruins and a village in the sky.
Cogs in the Clouds
You wake up on a small island floating above the clouds. A ruined workshop, an old oak tree, a chest with a few supplies, and a sign pointing to the islands on the horizon.
From there, it is up to you. Bridge out to the nearby islands, turn your first water wheel, and grow that patch of dirt into a humming sky factory powered by Create. When the bridges are not enough, strap on a jetpack or build your own airship and go find what is out there: desert and jungle islands, cherry groves, deep dark caves, ancient ruins with treasure hanging under them, and a little village of villagers living on islands tied together by rope bridges.
What makes it different
- Machines are how you survive: stone, gravel, sand and ores all come from Create contraptions you build yourself, from a simple extruder to drills that tap deep ore veins. Every upgrade to your factory opens up the next step.
- A sky worth exploring: a custom starting island, three satellite islands within bridge range, 20 kinds of biome islands, and floating archipelagos full of ruins, caves and treasure.
- A floating village: mini islands connected by bridges, with villagers ready to trade.
- Build your own airship: Create Aeronautics lets you assemble flying machines to reach the far islands. Jetpacks and Waystones help along the way.
- A full quest book: around 170 quests in 11 chapters, from your first tree to automated enchanting. Every mod in the pack is introduced through quests, so you are never lost.
- Cozy extras: Farmer's Delight kitchens automated with Create, Sophisticated Backpacks and Storage, Carry On, Macaw's Bridges and Fresh Animations.
- Runs on modest PCs: Sodium, ModernFix, FerriteCore and friends. Shaders are optional.
Getting started
- Create a new world.
- Go to More World Options and set World Type: Skyblock.
- Open the quest book (the book in your starting chest) and follow chapter 0.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge
- At least 6 GB of RAM allocated
- Single player focused (multiplayer works, each player can start their own island)
