Welcome to CobbleRex

CobbleRex is a Cobblemon-focused modpack built as the official client pack for the CobbleRex server. It brings together the mods, resources and configuration needed to play on the server without requiring players to assemble everything themselves.

At its core, the pack expands Minecraft into a Pokémon adventure. You can catch and train Pokémon, build a team, battle trainers and explore a world filled with additional creatures, items, food, decorations and quality-of-life improvements. The included mods were selected to add more to do without losing the familiar feel of Minecraft and Cobblemon.

The CobbleRex server experience

The pack was primarily designed around the official CobbleRex server. On the server, players can take part in a much larger progression system featuring gyms, the Elite Four, boss events, a Safari Zone, player markets, parkour competitions, ice-boat Grand Prix races, ranks, kits, crates and other custom activities.

Many of these systems are created and managed by the server itself. Installing the modpack gives you the correct client setup, but it does not reproduce the complete CobbleRex server, its worlds or its custom multiplayer progression in singleplayer.

Singleplayer is supported

You do not have to join the CobbleRex server to use the pack. A normal singleplayer world can be created directly from the main menu, allowing you to explore the included mods, catch Pokémon, build a team and play at your own pace.

Some server-specific features—such as CobbleRex events, shops, ranks, NPCs, custom courses and progression systems—will only be available while connected to the official server. The underlying Cobblemon experience and compatible content can still be enjoyed without joining.

Important server-use restriction

This is a client modpack, not a server pack.

The modpack is provided only for personal singleplayer use and for connecting to the official CobbleRex server. It may not be installed, hosted or used to operate another public or private multiplayer server.

This modpack is in a Beta build, currently. I will be using this for testing, and early release versions for the server. The current build is strictly for testing on the server. Beta build ideally ends Saturday, September 5th :)
