Tips and Tricks:

Immersion Tips:

We recommend typing the command /gamerule domobspawning false when you load into a new world/server. Cobblemon drop items upon defeat! Psychic types will drop ender pearls, steel types will drop iron, fire types can drop gunpowder etc. Additionally, sheep-like cobblemoncan be sheared, and even cow-like cobblemon can be milked! At the moment the only thing you can't get from Cobblemon that you can get from mobs are rare items like tools and enchanted books.

Performance Tips:

If you would like to still squeeze out a couple more FPS from your client, follow these tips below. These are highly recommended for everyone as we have noticed no real impact on gameplay, strictly positive performance improvements!

1. Disable Mini-Map: This can cause a small performance boost but more importantly, the mini-map gets in the way of some of the Cobblemon UI. Feel free to move it around to a position that best suits you (Top-Middle) but we found disabling it is a bit easier.

2. Lower Shadow Distance: Dropping this value to 20 or below drastically improves performance with little to zero gameplay interference (video settings > general).

3. Lower Simulation Distance: Dropping this value to 20 or below drastically improves but will visually decrease the amount of Cobblemon seen at a far distance (video settings > general).

4. Always Defer Chunk Updates: This setting can more than double the FPS output on AMD GPU's. Other GPU's will still notice a considerable bump. The FPS benefits are substantial and it can be found in (video settings > performance). This can sometimes render chunks a couple of seconds late, but it is vastly worth the cost.
