1.4.0 — Season 2

The official client pack for play.cobbleasia.net.

If you played on the last pack here (1.0.4), read this first. That build is from Season 1. The server has since started Season 2 on a brand-new world — Season 1 saves, bases and Pokémon do not carry over, and the 1.0.4 mod set no longer matches the server. Update to this pack before you try to connect.

What's new in this build

• asc-clientui now installs itself. Our client interface mod is on CurseForge as CobbleAsia GUI, so your launcher downloads it with everything else. Nothing to drag in by hand.
• Reward icons are no longer blank on the summon, wish-history, battle pass, spin wheel and quest screens — rewards with custom models now resolve their art correctly.
• Banners with nothing featured show the rewards they actually offer instead of an empty gradient.
• Cobblemon Raid Dens updated to 0.11.6.
• Only Bottle Caps removed — the server handles bottle caps itself now.

⚠️ Before you play — four mods to add yourself

CurseForge can only hand you mods that are hosted on CurseForge, and four of ours aren't. They are not required to join — you can log in without them — but two carry Season 2 content, so we recommend all four. Drop each .jar into your instance's mods/ folder:

What's in the pack

• 57 mods built around Cobblemon 1.7.3, with Mega Showdown, Raid Dens, PokéNav, Simple Voice Chat and a full performance stack (Sodium, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, Dynamic FPS).
• asc-clientui — our own client mod, and the one thing you must not remove. It draws the server's custom interfaces, and the server won't let you connect without it.
• Season 2 content on the server: gyms, dungeons, raids, Battle Tower, clans, jobs, fishing, PvP ladders and a player-run economy.
• The server is already in your multiplayer list as Cobble Asia.
• No options.txt ships with the pack, so your own keybinds, video settings and volume are left exactly as you had them.
• Default keys: J Quests · K Help · U toggle the panel. All rebindable under CobbleAsia in Options → Controls.

Note for third-party launchers

Seven of the included mods don't allow automatic distribution, so Prism / MultiMC / ATLauncher will ask you to download those by hand. The official CurseForge app installs them normally.
