Client Side Pack - CSP1

A Simple client side modpack to have an enhanced version of minecraft

A client-side Fabric modpack for Minecraft 26.2

This modpack enhances the vanilla Minecraft experience on the client: better performance, quality-of-life improvements, a modernized interface, maps, visual effects, and an extended view distance powered by Distant Horizons.

It can be used on most vanilla or Fabric servers, subject to each server's own rules. No server-side mods are required for the main client-side improvements.

Features

  • Distant Horizons for extremely long view distances using LODs (Levels of Detail)
  • Sodium and Entity Culling for improved performance
  • Iris for shader compatibility
  • Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map for navigation
  • Interface improvements for inventory management, item information, chat, HUD elements, and menus
  • Quality-of-life additions including inventory sorting, Mouse Tweaks, enchantment information, AppleSkin, zoom, and more
  • Extra visual effects, particles, and ambient sounds

Compatibility

  • Minecraft Java Edition 26.2
  • Fabric
  • Primarily a client-side modpack
  • Compatible with vanilla and Fabric servers in most cases

Some servers may forbid or restrict specific client-side mods. Always follow the rules of the server you are playing on.

Performance and Memory

For a comfortable experience:

  • 8 GB of RAM allocated to Minecraft is recommended
  • 10 GB can be useful with shaders, a heavy resource pack, or a high LOD render distance
  • Keep CurseForge's Java setting set to Default so CurseForge and the Minecraft Launcher can automatically use the runtime required by Minecraft 26.2

Optional Distant Horizons optimization

Distant Horizons may generate LOD data in the background. On PCs with at least 16 GB of total system RAM, some players may reduce generation-related stutters by adding this argument under:

CurseForge → Settings → Minecraft → Additional Arguments

-XX:+UseZGC

This argument is optional. Do not use it on low-memory systems, and do not combine it with -XX:+UseG1GC.

Recommended Settings

To take advantage of Distant Horizons without unnecessarily overloading the game:

Setting Recommended starting value
Vanilla Render Distance 12–16 chunks
Simulation Distance 8–10 chunks
Distant Horizons LOD Render Distance 128–256 chunks
FOV 90

Adjust these settings based on your CPU, GPU, RAM, and VRAM. Very high LOD distances and demanding shaders may require significantly more system resources.

Important Notes

  • Shaders are optional and can be selected through Iris.
  • Generating Distant Horizons LODs may temporarily reduce performance while exploring new areas. Allow the mod time to build its cache.
  • Depending on your graphics card and driver, Distant Horizons may display a rendering-backend warning. The supplied configuration hides this warning where appropriate.
  • This modpack provides client-side default settings. You remain free to change your keybinds, FOV, render distance, and graphics settings.
