This modpack was designed to be harder than vanilla without adding to much content or making it to "grindy".
This modpack has no ore generation and you can not mine wood with your hand!
In the very early game you have to break leaves to get branches and gravel to get flint, then you have to make 4 planks from 2 branches each to make an crafting table, then use the flint and some branches to make an pickaxe to mine stone, than make an stone axe out of stone and branches to get wood "the normal way".
You can get all the ores through an mod called Resourceful Crops (for recipes use JEI).
Food wise the modpack contains spice of live, Harvest Craft and Cooking for Blockheads.
