This pack is aimed primarily at those who have beginner to moderate knowledge of modded Minecraft.
When starting your world, choose terraforged in the world type for best results, you can still use default generation but terraforged is what this pack was designed around. For an easy start, make a supply camp/ship (the recipe can be found in JEI, the menu to the right of your inventory). After getting your starter base set up, I recommend getting started on minecolonies by using the town hall that comes with your supply camp. The chat should show messages that should help you with minecolonies but a more comprehensive guide is available on the minecolonies wiki. After getting basic resource collection automated with your colonists, mekanism offers a way to double and up to octuple your ore, though the more processing the more complicated it gets.
After doing those things, their are a couple of paths to take, Ars nouvea is a magic mod that has a very extensive in game guide and you should definetly read it if you want to be a flying mage shooting exploding projectiles and healing your comrades.
Another path you can take is the create path, create adds a simple way of generating and using power to do things like automatic farms, quarrys and much more. Unfortunately create does not have an ingame guide but there are many videos online and it is simple to use once the foundational principles are understood.
There are many things to do in this modpack and I highly recommend that you look further into each mod.
