Description

Caveman’s Playground is a mechanical progression modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 built around the Create mod, designed to reward creativity, engineering, and hands-on problem solving. This pack emphasizes physical automation over instant solutions, encouraging players to build real machines using rotational power, gear trains, and moving contraptions. Every system you build feels tangible, from simple hand-cranked devices to fully automated factories capable of processing resources, managing farms, and powering complex infrastructure.

The core of the pack revolves around Create and its ecosystem, expanding mechanical gameplay with additional Create-compatible mods such as Create Enchantment Industries and Enchantable Contraptions. These additions allow players to automate enchanting, integrate enchantments directly into mechanical systems, and further blur the line between traditional gameplay and true automation. Progression feels natural and earned, as players move from primitive machinery to highly optimized mechanical networks.

While Create handles mechanical automation, Applied Energistics 2 provides advanced digital storage and item management solutions for mid- to late-game progression. AE2 allows players to organize, store, and access massive quantities of resources efficiently, complementing Create’s physical automation rather than replacing it. Together, these systems create a balanced progression path where mechanical production feeds into advanced storage and logistics.

This modpack also serves as a testing environment for custom-developed mods, including Caveman’s Dragon Glass and Caveman’s Buyable Mob Eggs. Caveman’s Dragon Glass introduces a powerful and unique material that expands equipment progression and offers new opportunities for gear customization. Caveman’s Buyable Mob Eggs provides alternative methods of acquiring mob spawners and automating mob farms, opening new paths for resource generation and automation strategies. These mods have been carefully integrated to ensure they work naturally alongside Create and other included systems.

To support exploration, storage, and mobility, the pack includes Sophisticated Backpacks and Sophisticated Storage, giving players flexible and upgradeable storage solutions that scale alongside their growing factories. These mods help reduce inventory management frustration while still requiring thoughtful planning and upgrades.

Caveman’s Playground is designed primarily for multiplayer servers and cooperative play, where players can specialize in different areas such as mechanical engineering, resource processing, infrastructure design, or logistics management. Whether building massive automated factories, experimenting with custom contraptions, or testing new mod interactions, the pack provides a sandbox environment focused on creativity, experimentation, and progression through engineering.

This modpack is ideal for players who enjoy Create-style automation, thoughtful progression, and the satisfaction of building machines that physically interact with the world. Caveman’s Playground encourages experimentation, rewards ingenuity, and provides a cohesive environment where mechanical systems, digital storage, and custom content work together to create a unique and engaging experience.
