__**New Menu**__

Our server now has a custom made menu sporting our new logo as a background! We'll add to it in the future when we get more graphics!

*why new menu?*

It looks cool quirky and unique. It also gives players the option to just immediately join versus putting the IP in which was causing confusion for new players. It looks more professional and we can build on it to make it even better.

*why no singleplayer option?*

Unfortunately (especially recently due to the increase in social media views) players have been taking, or insinuating others should be taking our assets from our modpack, making their own pack with our pack, etc. People are basically loading onto a singleplayer world, having a little shopping trip and then heading off with the goods. While we've previously said viewing coats and things is fine in singleplayer, moving forward our assets (so, our coats) are *only* to be used on our server, effective immediately.

We will be having a new gif system so players can view the coats easier as the current renders are buggy. We've just decided to make this change now, rather than later.

*what if i want to look at tack?*

That's fine! The modpack itself is public, we *need* to include the coats client side so people can enjoy them on the server. Any mods within the pack currently are not owned by us and follow the respective TOU from any creators or distributors. You can simply just duplicate the mods folder and play on a singleplayer if you'd like.

*why do we not want people taking coats?*

Putting it simply, our coats were made for our server (mainly the genetics). Similarly to how some creators on other games may make limited textures, events, etc. Collectively we've spent hundreds if not thousands on coats, software, etc in order to make this work. While I appreciate everyone loves the coats, they are our assets.

A public modpack does not mean all assets within it are free to use or public - it is up to the owners of the content to decide how they want their content to be used. For example some SWEM creators may not want coats, resource packs, etc used on public modpacks.

Players may not redistribute, copy, share, sell, etc our textures (so all respective coats). These textures are intended for use exclusively on Canterlands. You may enjoy them freely while playing on the server. ❤️
