The main storyline of BxP2 differs from that of BxP1 (the first version of BxP Modpack), yet we have made every effort to restore most of the content from BxP1 and port it to the higher Minecraft version 1.20. Due to the current lack of development time for regular updates, the modpack is temporarily released only to our community. If you encounter any issues during gameplay, you can reply to this post or submit an issue on GitHub, and all problems will be fixed uniformly once we have sufficient time.
Key Improvements Compared with BxP1
- Added more original affixes for Tinkers' Construct.
- Implemented the one-click construction feature for time-consuming structures, greatly simplifying complex building operations.
- Converted mods with low acceptance among most players into side quest content, making the core gameplay more focused.
- Introduced the exclusive BxP Shop, which provides different items based on the player's in-game progress. For example, in the early game, players can purchase AE processors and storage components, Thermal speed-up components, Mekanism generators, and more.
- Redesigned the more user-friendly configuration files: players can modify the global difficulty of the modpack and also make refined adjustments to their selected difficulty level. In addition, different difficulty settings will affect crafting recipes, especially the endgame recipes.
- Built a more complex automation system: abandoned modular machinery to avoid lag issues, and adopted MBD to deliver a smoother automation experience while reducing game stutters.
- Revised the textures of some in-game items (though there is still room for visual improvement).
- All endgame content is now automatable, putting an end to the unreasonable manual operations required in BxP1.
- Added breeding mechanics for more items. If you do not want to build complex automation systems, you can enjoy casual gameplay such as farming and beekeeping to obtain rare items (e.g., BxP Ingot, Enchanted BxP Ingot, etc.).
Known Confirmed Issues
- The overall optimization is not as good as BxP1, reaching only about 80% of the performance of the previous version.
- Occasional CraftTweaker (CrT) errors or game crashes may occur during gameplay (e.g., when fighting mobs or crafting items).
- Frequent attacks with Tinkers' Construct weapons with the "Super Energy Fusion" affix will generate BxP Tickets that cannot be merged, which negatively impacts the server TPS.
- Unbalanced values (excessively high or low) for some Tinkers' Construct affixes.
- Subpar visual effects of the textures for the loading screen and main menu background.
- Incomplete support for English and Traditional Chinese languages.
Internal Testing Information
The development team has completed three rounds of internal testing for BxP2, with at least 5 players participating in each round. No severe frame drops or tick lags that affect normal gameplay were found during the tests (or all identified issues of this kind have been fixed).
