Buck's SMP Pack

Unlisted
Just a modpack I threw together for a small SMP

A New World of Adventure

Step beyond vanilla Minecraft and into a massive, interconnected world filled with new dimensions, dangerous creatures, powerful magic, advanced technology, expanded farming, engineering, exploration, and countless new ways to build and survive.

This modpack is designed to make Minecraft feel like a completely new adventure while still keeping the creativity and freedom that makes the base game special. Whether you want to explore strange new worlds, construct enormous Create-powered machines, master powerful magical systems, discover rare materials, build elaborate farms, or simply wander into the unknown, there is always something new to encounter.

Explore a Much Larger World

The world is no longer limited to the familiar Overworld, Nether, and End.

Multiple major dimension mods expand the game with entirely new environments to discover, each with their own atmosphere, resources, structures, creatures, and progression opportunities. You can venture into the Aether, explore the mysterious Twilight Forest, travel beyond Earth with Ad Astra, and investigate other dimensions and environments added throughout the pack.

Exploration is also expanded within the Overworld itself. New biomes, structures, villages, terrain, and points of interest make traveling across the world feel less repetitive. A journey several thousand blocks from spawn can lead to environments and structures that feel completely different from what you encountered before.

The world is meant to reward curiosity. Exploring a cave, entering an unfamiliar biome, discovering a strange structure, or finding a new dimension can lead to completely new resources and gameplay possibilities.

Adventure and Dangerous Creatures

The world is considerably more dangerous than vanilla Minecraft.

Mods such as Alex's Mobs and Alex's Caves introduce new creatures, cave environments, and encounters that make exploration more unpredictable. Caves are no longer simply places to collect stone and ores—they can contain unique environments and creatures that completely change how you approach underground exploration.

The expanded creature roster also makes the world feel more alive. Instead of encountering the same handful of vanilla mobs everywhere, different environments can contain creatures with their own behaviors and purposes.

Prepare yourself before heading into unexplored territory, because the world contains threats that require more than basic iron equipment.

Magic and Mystical Progression

Magic is another major part of the pack.

Systems such as Botania and Hexerei provide different approaches to magical progression, allowing players to experiment with magical resources, rituals, crafting, automation, and powerful equipment.

Rather than having one single progression path, the pack gives you different ways to become more powerful. A player focused on magic can develop an entirely different playstyle from someone who relies primarily on machinery or exploration.

Magical progression also works alongside the rest of the pack. Resources discovered while exploring can become components for magical projects, while magical systems can provide tools and resources that help with large-scale construction and automation.

Create, Engineering, and Automation

For players who prefer engineering over magic, Create provides an enormous amount of mechanical depth.

Build functioning factories, automated farms, transportation systems, processing lines, mechanical contraptions, and elaborate machines. Instead of simply placing a machine and watching it work, Create allows you to physically design systems using shafts, gears, belts, mechanical components, and moving machinery.

The pack expands Create's usefulness with integrations and additional processing options from other mods. Materials from farming, exploration, mining, and other mods can become part of larger automated production chains.

You can start with a simple mechanical setup and eventually build an enormous factory capable of processing resources automatically.

Farming and Food Production

Agriculture receives a major expansion as well.

Farmer's Delight, Miner's Delight, Agricraft, and additional integrations provide substantially more options for farming, cooking, crop production, and food processing.

Instead of treating food as something you collect only when your hunger bar gets low, you can build dedicated farms and production systems. Grow crops, experiment with agricultural systems, create specialized food, and integrate farming into larger automated factories.

Create and the various farming mods can also be combined to create production lines where resources move from farms into processing systems and eventually become finished products.

Expanded Crafting and Materials

The pack introduces a large number of new resources, crafting systems, equipment options, and material-processing methods.

Tinkers' Construct adds another layer of equipment customization, allowing players to approach tools and weapons differently from vanilla Minecraft. Instead of simply crafting a tool and replacing it with the next tier, you can experiment with different materials and configurations.

Other mods add their own resources and crafting mechanics, meaning that exploration and progression constantly open up additional crafting possibilities.

The result is a progression system where discovering a new material can have consequences far beyond simply adding another item to your inventory.

Build and Decorate

The pack isn't only about combat and progression.

Mods such as Supplementaries and Copycats provide additional building and decorative possibilities, giving builders more tools for creating detailed bases, villages, factories, castles, magical towers, and other structures.

Create's moving machinery can also become part of the architecture of your builds. A factory doesn't have to be a collection of invisible machines—it can be a massive mechanical structure with visible belts, gears, moving components, and processing lines.

Whether you want to build a medieval settlement, magical laboratory, industrial factory, underground complex, or massive adventurer's base, the pack provides tools to make those builds more detailed and functional.

A World With Multiple Playstyles

One of the main goals of the pack is to avoid forcing every player through the exact same progression.

You can focus on:

  • Exploration — discover new biomes, structures, dimensions, creatures, and resources.

  • Adventure — seek out dangerous caves, powerful creatures, and challenging environments.

  • Magic — develop magical systems through mods such as Botania and Hexerei.

  • Engineering — build increasingly complex Create machines and automated factories.

  • Agriculture — create farms, develop crops, cook expanded foods, and automate production.

  • Mining — search for the large variety of resources required by the pack's many progression systems.

  • Construction — use expanded decorative and building tools to create detailed bases and settlements.

  • Space exploration — use Ad Astra to take Minecraft beyond Earth and explore extraterrestrial environments.

  • Dimension exploration — travel beyond the vanilla dimensions and discover entirely different environments.

These paths can also be combined. A player might build a Create factory to process materials obtained from another dimension, use magical systems to support their base, automate a farm to supply a large food-production system, and then use the resulting resources to prepare for another expedition.

A Modpack Built Around Discovery

The defining feature of this pack is variety.

There isn't just one new mechanic or one additional dimension. The pack combines exploration, technology, magic, farming, building, combat, crafting, and multiple dimensions into one large Minecraft experience.

A normal Minecraft world can become a long-term project rather than something you finish after defeating the Ender Dragon. There are new places to explore, new systems to learn, increasingly complex projects to construct, and different progression paths to pursue.

You might spend one session exploring an enormous cave, another designing a factory, another developing a magical setup, and another preparing for an expedition into an entirely different dimension.
