Description

Bubby's Grand Adventure

Bubby's Grand Adventure

From your first wooden pickaxe to the Void-Eater itself.

300+ mods. A questbook that teaches without boring you. Six legendary bosses, one deck of cards, and a final battle built just for this pack.

๐Ÿ”ฅ How It Started

Bubby's Grand Adventure began as a gift from a dad to his son, a pack built so he could explore modded Minecraft without spending hours buried in YouTube tutorials.

It didn't stay small for long.

One mod turned into ten, ten turned into a hundred, and somewhere along the way a little project became a complete adventure. It now takes you from your very first night all the way to endgame tech, powerful magic and legendary boss fights, with a guide walking beside you the entire way.

It's still made for him. Now it's made for you too.

๐Ÿ“– A Questbook That Actually Helps

Most big modpacks drop you into 300 mods and wish you luck. Bubby's Grand Adventure doesn't.

42 questbook chapters: every major mod has its own chapter that teaches it step by step, from "what does this even do?" to building something genuinely impressive. The quests are written to guide, not grind:

  • ๐Ÿงญ Beginner-friendly. Never played modded Minecraft? Start at chapter one and you'll be fine.
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Real goals, not chores. Every quest moves you toward something worth building.
  • ๐Ÿ”“ Freedom to explore. Chapters stay open, so you can follow whatever catches your eye.
  • ๐Ÿ† Rewards that matter. Progress feels earned, never padded.
  • โ›๏ธ Sifting & Smashing. Hammers and sluices turn cobblestone, gravel and sand into ores, gems and saplings, with a whole chapter that teaches you how.

Beginner โ†’ Intermediate โ†’ Advanced. Whatever your skill level, there's a next step waiting.

๐Ÿƒ Featured: Deck of the Fallen

A custom mod made for Bubby's Grand Adventure. View Deck of the Fallen on CurseForge

Six legends. Six cards. One door that should never be opened.

Across every realm, six legendary creatures guard a fragment of something ancient. Defeat them, and their essence crystallizes into a Boss Card: a living portrait of the beast, styled after classic trading cards.

The Fallen:

Card Realm
๐Ÿ‰ The Ender Dragon, Void Calamity The End
๐Ÿ’€ The Wither, Soul-Blight Sovereign Summoned by the brave (or foolish)
๐Ÿ”Š The Warden, Echoing Deepstalker The Deep Dark
๐Ÿ”ฅ The Ashen Warlord, Burning Nether Despot (Ignis) The Nether
โ„๏ธ Aurora, The Snow Queen The Twilight Forest
๐Ÿ Rootmin, The Twisted Soul The Bumblezone

Collect all six, and the deck will show you the way to something far worse.

  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ The Void Coliseum. Search the open plains for a colossal black arena ringed by a moat of lava and crowned with eternal flame. Ancient magic protects it: it cannot be broken, built upon or blown apart.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฎ The Ritual. Offer each card to its themed pedestal and watch it rise and float. With all six in place, a Nether Star awakens the Summoning Altarโ€ฆ
  • ๐Ÿ‘น Xylar, the Void-Eater Chimera. A brand-new final boss with its own custom model, a custom boss bar and a cinematic death. Defeat it to claim the Xylar trophy card, and the six cards return so the ritual can be performed again.
  • ๐Ÿ“œ The Void Codex. A fully illustrated in-game guide book with 3D boss models, high-resolution card art, cryptic clues and hidden lore pages that unlock as you claim each card.

Every boss card drops for everyone fighting nearby, so gather your friends.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ What's Inside

๐Ÿ  Settling In Start strong with RPG Prefab Houses for an instant starter home, carry everything with Sophisticated Backpacks, stay organized with Functional Storage, and build big with Building Gadgets.

โš™๏ธ Tech & Automation Spin up contraptions with Create, power your empire with Mekanism, digitize your storage with Applied Energistics 2, then push further with Industrial Foregoing, Ender IO and Draconic Evolution.

โœจ Magic & Mystery Weave spells with Ars Nouveau, forge legendary gear with Apotheosis, and wander into The Feywild.

โš”๏ธ Adventure & Exploration Brave The Twilight Forest, conquer the bosses of L_Ender's Cataclysm, fall into The Bumblezone, and descend into Deeper and Darker.

โ€ฆand over 300 more mods, all tied together by the questbook.

๐Ÿค– How Bubby's Grand Adventure Was Made

Bubby's Grand Adventure, and its custom mod Deck of the Fallen, started as my idea: a pack for my son, Bubby. I picked the mods, designed the progression, came up with the six boss cards, the ritual, the arena and Xylar himself, and tested every piece of it in-game (usually with him).

To be upfront about the tools I used:

  • AI assistance helped me with the coding. That includes the KubeJS scripts behind the ritual, Xylar's fight and the card drops, plus building and organizing the questbook.
  • The boss card artwork was made with AI image tools, from my own concepts for each card. It's the same art you'll see on the cards in-game.
  • Xylar's 3D model and animations were hand-made by Im2Kiwi4This (Kiwibon), a real artist I commissioned.
  • Every mod in the pack is the work of its original authors. Nothing here was generated to replace them.

I'm a dad who wanted to build something special for his kid, not a professional developer. AI was the tool that let me turn that idea into a real modpack. Every decision, every test and every late night of tuning was mine. I'm glad I did because me and my son have been having a blast testing and working out the bugs. He gave quite a bit of input, lol, and I am having fun playing the pack as well. To the parents out there, you know you would go above and beyond to make your kids happy and to see the big smile on his face of having his own modpack on Curseforge with his nickname as part of the title, truly is something special. I hope that everyone enjoys this as much as we do.

๐Ÿ’œ Credits & Thanks

Bubby's Grand Adventure stands on the shoulders of an incredible modding community. Thank you to every mod author whose work is in this pack. None of it exists without you.

Special thanks:

  • ๐ŸŽจ Im2Kiwi4This (Kiwibon) for designing, modeling and animating Xylar, the Void-Eater Chimera. The final boss of the Deck of the Fallen wouldn't exist without your art. I can say that with our idea, you brought the ultimate boss to life for my son and that I'm truly thankful.
  • ๐Ÿก Loudev, creator of RPG Prefab Houses, for kindly allowing his mod to be included in this pack. Truly one of the good ones. I know my son likes checking out the houses and getting build ideas. Same as me, I'm the usual 9x9 house guy.
  • โš™๏ธ The Create team, Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, The Twilight Forest team, L_Ender (L_Ender's Cataclysm), TelepathicGrunt (The Bumblezone) and every other author in the mod list.
  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ FTB Quests, KubeJS and Patchouli, the tools that made the questbook, the scripting and the Void Codex possible.

The full mod list is on the Relations tab. Please support these authors.
