BTMC+ v1.7: Massive Overhaul of the Modpack
idk I picked up this modpack again 2 years later because I was bored and wanted to see if these mods/resource packs were still any fun. I tried to make some of my previous additions to this modpack less OP and add some new features while still sticking with the main Vanilla+ theme that I wanted in this modpack.
New Features
Ported to 1.20.1
-Spelunkery: A new mod focused on mining that replaces Mores, Large Ore Deposits, and Dense Ores Reborn. It changes the mining progression in the game slightly so that you have to work a bit harder for good loot while still rewarding the player when they use their features
-Aquaculture Delight/Quark Delight: 2 new compat mods that allow additions from Quark and Aquaculture to be used in Farmer's Delight
-More Minecarts and Rails: Elytra is too broken so there needs to be some other good transport method, I found this mod which provides some new game mechanics related to minecarts to make them viable and interesting to use (I'm not glazing camman18 I swear)
-YUNG's Better End Island, Jungle Temples, Nether Fortresses, Ocean Monuments, and Witch Huts: The vanilla structures for all of these are lowkey mid as hell so these mods fix that by making them interesting to explore and loot.
-Essential: Lowkey might be the best mod on Minecraft; You can now play multiplayer with any of your friends without any of the BS from free Minecraft servers like Aternos, and it makes everything so much easier
Deleted Features
-Enchanting Infuser: This one was waaaaaaayy too OP and I had to get rid of it to balance the game more.
-Mores, Large Ore Deposits, Dense Ores Reborn: When updating Mores I found that it had been replaced by SPelunkery which kind of added all 3 of these mods into the game so they became redundant and I decided to keep only Spelunkery.
-OptiFine: Removed OptiFine because it conflicted with Valhelsia for some reason and it barely boosted FPS with these mods
-More Concrete: Ate up your FPS for no freaking reason
-Additional Datapacks: Let's be honest nobody is doing all that with those data packs and they're unnecessary so I just got rid of them
-Colytra: Elytra is already OP enough as it is why should I make it even more OP, of course this mod has to go
-Ores above Diamonds: You're already basically unkillable with Protection 4 Netherite, sure it adds more progression but then what's even the fun in the game when nothing is a challenge for you?
-Repurposed Structures: I was wondering about this mod for a while, but then I realized that I'm already adding/revamping so many structures in this mod, and adding even more variations of every single structure is kind of unnecessary. I don't want to clutter the landscape too much with structures that make finding them less fun.
Mod Configurations
-Quark: More or less the same configs as before, except added multiple massive nerfs to certain aspects of the game - Rerolling villagers is now much harder, and you can no longer lock in trades so that you have to get enchants and stuff like that elsewhere. Elytra can now only be used in the Nether and End to incentivize actually using the railway mod in the overworld. The enchanting system is now sort of like Tetris to make it more interesting and uses candles. These are only 3 of the nerfs I think there are a few more but you'll have to discover those yourselves.
Well that's it thanks for coming to my Ted-Talk I don't think I'll update this modpack for like another 2 years
*Don't ask what happened to v1.6
