Brutal Vanilla is a combination of regular Minecraft and hardcore survival.

The main idea of this modpack is to preserve the vanilla Minecraft atmosphere while making survival much harder, more dangerous, and more realistic. Here, you won't just be gathering resources and building a house — you'll have to constantly fight for your life.

What awaits you?

🌑 True Darkness Nights are so dark that you can barely see anything without a light source. But be careful — light can attract unwanted attention.

🧟 Dangerous Zombies and Mobs Sometimes, special nights occur when zombies become significantly stronger. On top of that, mobs react to your actions: they can hear you talking or using torches.

🌍 A Changed World The Minecraft world has been altered. Explore it, search for resources, and discover new survival opportunities.

🌀 Mysterious Portals You can find mysterious portals throughout the world. They teleport you to other identical portals. Use them to explore the world and discover new places.

💧 Thirst and Temperature Keeping an eye on your hunger is no longer enough. You'll also have to manage your thirst and body temperature to survive harsh conditions.

⚒️ A More Challenging Armor Crafting System Crafting modded armor is no longer as simple as it used to be. A smithing system has been added, making the process of creating equipment more challenging and interesting.

🥩 Food Spoilage Some types of vanilla food will spoil over time. This mechanic has not yet been implemented for every food item.

🌪️ Seasons and Hurricanes The world is now more unpredictable. Changing seasons and dangerous weather conditions add new challenges to survival.

❤️ Only Three Lives Every player has only three lives. Every mistake could be your last.

⛏️ Modified Ore Generation Regular ore deposits are less common, but larger and more spread-out ore veins generate instead. Mining becomes more challenging, and finding valuable resources becomes more rewarding.

My goal is to make Minecraft harder without losing its vanilla feel.
