Brutal Ascension's New Difficulty! Here's the changelog:

 

- you start the game with 1 heart, you can only earn more hearts by progressing through quests.

 

- all the other questlines are gone, there is only 1 new questline called the Path of Pain, for now.

 

- The season is always Winter, no crops for you.

 

- Every 3rd night is a Blood Moon.

 

- Magic is less effective when used by players.

 

- Most mobs can spawn with a variety of different items.

 

- There is now a death counter.

 

- Scaling Health's difficulty goes up quicker.

 

- Chickens, Cows, Pigs, Rabbits, and Squid no longer spawn. At all.

 

- Netherite is disabled.

 

- The Betweenlands is darker, and portals returning you from it that are not connected to the Overworld will take you to the Nether.

 

- The End has no minimum block light.

 

- Nights are darker in the Overworld.

 

- Undead mobs take less damage when not smited, but smiting lasts for a shorter time and they regain 4 health every half-second when damaged and not smited.

 

-  The Bone sword is less effective.

 

- Nature's Compass is gone.

 

- Festive Creeper TNT now explodes blocks.

 

- All undead mobs no longer burn in daylight.

 

- Mutant Creepers and Mutant Endermen now have a small chance to spawn instead of not spawning at all.

 

- Support Creepers are enabled.
