Technology mods such as Create, Mekanism and Turret/ Defense blocks such as razor wire/ K-Turrets are your defense against smart mobs that will purposefully attempt to breach your walls, jump gaps and launch themselves at you.
Over time Hordes will periodically attack as the general number of zombies and creepers increase in number.

I would suggest adjusting spawn counts depending on your preference and your expected server hardware as the spawn limit is set very high.
I do not own any of these mods I just put the pack together to play with friends. Please respect the wishes of the mod devs themselves.
