Build your kingdom. Master the arcane. Harness the machine. Face the dragons.
Blocks of Thrones is a medieval high-fantasy modpack built around exploration, kingdom building, magic, engineering, and survival in a world far more dangerous than vanilla Minecraft.
The world is meant to feel vast, ancient, and untamed. Great mountains rise above forgotten ruins, dungeons lie beneath the earth, strange realms wait beyond ancient portals, and dragons rule territories where the unprepared are little more than prey. Survival is only the beginning. The ultimate goal is to carve civilization out of the wilderness and build something worthy of enduring it.
At the heart of the pack are Ice and Fire: Community Edition and Create. Dragons and mythical creatures transform the wilderness into genuinely dangerous territory, while Create allows settlements to progress from simple medieval villages into enormous mechanical kingdoms powered by water, wind, gears, mills, railways, and ingenious contraptions.
Technology deliberately remains grounded in the setting. Blocks of Thrones isn't about nuclear reactors, computers, or futuristic machinery. Its industry is built from timber, stone, iron, brass, waterwheels, windmills, furnaces, and mechanical power. Build sprawling workshops, automated farms, working mills, rail networks, mines, elevators, fortress gates, and machines worthy of a growing empire.
Magic provides another path to power. Become a scholar of the arcane, collect ancient spellbooks, master customizable magic, discover powerful artifacts, and venture into dangerous places in search of knowledge that cannot simply be crafted at a workbench.
Exploration has been expanded across the entire game. The Overworld is filled with new terrain, structures, settlements, ruins, dungeons, creatures, and dragons. The Nether and End have been transformed into far greater adventures, while entirely separate dimensions offer their own environments, enemies, treasures, and mysteries.
But Blocks of Thrones is equally about what you leave behind.
Raise castles above the countryside. Surround cities with great walls. Establish farms, villages, taverns, workshops, ports, bridges, monasteries, wizard towers, and fortified keeps. Create roads and railways connecting distant settlements. Sail beyond familiar shores. Hunt monsters. Forge weapons. Practice magic. Build machines. Slay dragons—or perhaps claim their power for yourself.
Different players can naturally find their own place within the same realm. One may become an engineer overseeing the kingdom's machinery while another studies magic. Someone can become the settlement's farmer, architect, explorer, blacksmith, warrior, monster hunter, or ruler.
And beyond the walls, the world remains dangerous.
The farther you travel, the greater the rewards—and the greater the things waiting to kill you.
Blocks of Thrones is a world of crowns and castles, steel and sorcery, gears and dragons.
The wilderness already has its monsters. The throne is yours to build.
